There is a huge sub culture of illegals, not only from Mexico. This includes Eastern Europeans, South Asians, etc. A big part of their existence is avoiding taxes, getting illegal benefits, and shipping money and goods (cars, etc) out of the country. IMHO this is all feeding into a worsening culture of corruption at all levels, because the USA is now operating like the Third World countries in which everything is done on the black market and with bribes.
As I write this, I can hear the hammers of illegal pounding as they work on building a house across my street! I can guarantee you that they will have SS#s and they will all be bogus.

Especially in my county which has been run as a jobs program for blacks forever. I am not sure how the upper management is justifying it to their cronies except with underhanded deals to “minority” firms who then sub out to the cheapest they can get. Which is what I assume is going on.

That's the same story everywhere, "everyone else in 'my industry' uses illegals at below minimum wage and I can't survive if I don't."
What we need are some "real teeth" to do the same kind of "instant background checks" that they do if you wish to purchase a gun.

The newspapers have discussed that whole suburbs surrounding Philadelphia have become Mexican. In Jersey, the store announcements to customers and to employees are being given in Spanish. This goes way beyond the numbers being reported by government and press.

As if it would do any good...the ones working across the street really seem to eye my valuables alot--so, thank you God, for making my dogs while I'm away. Still, I believe their contractor boss would be bent on some sort retribution when I'm at work.
The families of the miners are being updated on the latest developments by mining officials and Murray himself. Some of the missing miners are believed to be Mexican nationals.

We had a new roof put on when we moved in - run by a white guy who’d been in business in town twenty years, family firm - but the eight men who came and went up on my roof were all Hispanic.
I haven’t hired out anything since then, redoing the bath or painting or new kitchen floor, but there’s things that are beyond me that have to be done soon - tree work and concrete injection under a slab. So I’ll see who actually shows up to do the work.

Aiding and abetting illegal activity seriously impairs a government official's ability to be bonded; violating the terms of "bonding" would necessitate expulsion from a government job.
"Bonded" government officials using tax-funded offices to aid and abet illegal activity should be reported ASAP.
(A) Every state has a Dept of Insurance, and an insurance fraud unit, that polices the insurance business (and "bonding" companies).
