Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul began running television campaign ads Tuesday in Iowa.
The spots for the Texas congressman began just days before a straw poll in the first presidential nominating state.
The 30-second ads will be in rotation in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Sioux City.
Campaign spokesman Jesse Benton declined to reveal the cost.
The ad features Paul speaking to a crowd of supporters while an announcer repeats the Texan's fiscally conservative campaign themes.
Various statements flash across the screen, including "Stop the national I.D. Card."
Benton said the ad, the first of two for TV, will be accompanied by similar radio spots.
Thank you for taking your Oath to uphold the Constitution seriously.
I would not dream of letting Ron Pauls campaign pay for my vote. I paid for my own bumperstickers, yard signs, buttons and even local ads.
I do everything I can to keep Ron Paul's campaign from having to spend money.
Multiply his 2.4 million by a few thousand of us.
Campaign finance reform was a attack on the 1st amendment, thank you very much, McCain and F Thompson!

According to the constitution, isn’t it the Congress that’s supposed to have the authority that the FED currently has?
Supposedly, there are some flaws with the FED and private companies connected to the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission and groups like that, have control over it.
Woodrow Wilson stated in his memoirs that the creation of the Federal Reserve was a bad idea.

You got a copy or a cite for that? In the speech I read, Ron Paul proposed Letters of Marque and Reprisal so I’d really like to see where he actually submitted a DoW. BTW, a resolution authorizing force fulfills the Constitutional requirement.

If we had followed the Constitution this war would have been over by Dec 2002 at the latest.
Iran and Syria would *not* be providing safe haven and IED to proxy troops today and Pakistan would have cleaned out the border or also been forced into a regime change.
Ron Paul would not have asked the UN for permission to defend ourselves!
I can't believe some of the posters on FR are so into the NWO, that they think we need permission from the UN to strike back.
And they call our only defender a traitor because they are too dim witted to grok what is happening around them.

Personally I think it’s pretty difficult to be a constitutionalist and hold office. His overall votes suggest he is as close as you can get. I’ve been following him for years and while I haven’t agreed with everything he has said, I do think he is a much better choice then any of the candidates in the running right now.
Maybe take a look at the ron paul library which will help you search for the subjects of importance to you, discover things for yourself rather then rely on some of the hysterical comments of the anti-paul rabid wolves here.

Again, I’m not sure of the terminology and I don’t claim to represent his argument—
but, as I understand it, every time a constituent makes a request his office passes it along. The earmark’s status is dealt with in committee or on the floor. Requests that go through Paul’s office are made public (not a requirement or the usual practice) and are usually greater in number and $cope—but not necessarily sucess.
Again, I’m only repeating my butchered understanding of what that nice man from ‘Taxpayers for common sense’ said on C-SPAM.
