According to some estimates, the demographic trends are in place going forward so that whites will be a minority nationwide in the next 20 to 30 years.
If that happens, then everyone will be a minority, and then we can do away with affirmative action?
If you want to get technical, we are all mutts, so we all owe ourselves..
Only if it is no longer politically expedient and the cash flow runs dry.
When that happens, then another concerning political agenda will replace it post haste.

Diversity in and of itself is neither good or bad.
Diversity as an ends unto it’s own means is incredibly destructive.

Smart whites have been a minority in (oh, I don’t know..just guessing here) about a thousand blue counties for nigh on 30 years now.

First of all cites that are racially and ethnically mixed have better economies that those that have primarily only one race or ethnic group. Second, for most of us living in a diverse neighborhood is more interesting than living among people that are all of the same race.
This has been the truth for most of the 20th century, not to mention the 21st, depending on how you define 'white'. In the beginning of the 20th century 'white' did NOT include: Hispanics, southern French, Italians, Greeks, Turks, Christian Arabs or Jews. All of these were called 'swarthy', or not white. It also did not include Irish, Slavs, Hungarians, Finns or Estonians because the Irish and the Slavs were (less than white) peasants, and the others were non-European in ancestry.
In fact the only 'whites' were the British, northern French, Germans and Scandinavians. It has been a long time since these groups made up the majority of the US population.
Whites have been minorities in MAJOR cities in the US for years. No, whites will not get any minority privileges whatsoever. The good news is blacks and hispanics will be too busy fighting against eachother to bother with us too much.
