So as a global warming kool-aid drinker, I take it you support all the draconian political, economic and social solutions proffered by the left wing, liberal/socialist governmental entities here and abroad? How about waiting until the science catches up with the hype instead of making plans to destroy our economy and lifestyle.

You take me wrong, by a long shot. And to point out that there are very few legitimate scientists (if any) that think a global cooling trend started in 1998 makes me a "global warming kool-aid drinker" advocating socialism? Your powers of deduction are pretty poor.
I advocate conservation (energy efficiency), energy infrastructure change, and technological innovation as the most effective ways to address climate change. I have stated before that energy conservation and energy innovation should be a national imperative, for security, economic, and environmental reasons, in that order of priority.

The only thing the environwackso want to do is claim credit for the fact a cooling period starts to justify their socialism.
It is like the animism of the primitives who believed all things had a “god”.
Thus your inovations will happen regardless without any need for government intervention. However unless socialists put their laws in place right now, they will not be able to tax you enough to keep them in power.
consider the threat of electric cars to the left. The left depends on a constant flow of tax income, how do you charge a gasoline tax on an electric car? You can’t. So the left is scrambling to create “crisis infrastructure” to take the place of old tech tax income.
If an electric car comes to market before the crisis can be sold to the public, the man behind the curtain will be revealed and nobody will take the wizard of algore seriously.
Rush just covered the 1998 date too.
It turns out 1930’s(!) was the actual hotest dates.
It also seems the sensors NASA used to collect data were “selectivly” placed in more hot areas. Rush specifically mentioned one of the sensors was placed in a shed in between two external a/c unit comperssors. No description if it was massive units or normal car sized units.
There was a website that tracks the location of these sensors but I did not catch the name.
It seems the data is being manipulated BIG TIME.
There is quite a bit of fraud and deception with these devices. Simplest form is those that used to be in the country are now surrounded by concrete islands in the city, a virtual heat sink.
I would love to see a photomontage of the thermometers and their locations.
NASA will inevitably put out a press release saying they compensate...
Of course if they compensate then it means the data is tainted.
One thing I noticed this week was a glut of cable stations airing those The Day After Tomorrow-It Could Happen Tomorrow type of pseudo documentaries that are designed to scare the impressionable.
In short it’s nothing but fraud if it’s “adjusted”. On what basis do they figure their “adjustments”? The hockey stick maybe? ;)
NASA has now silently released corrected figures, and the changes are truly astounding. The warmest year on record is now 1934. 1998 (long trumpeted by the media as record-breaking) moves to second place. 1921 takes third. In fact, 5 of the 10 warmest years on record now all occur before World War II. Anthony Watts has put the new data in chart form, along with a more detailed summary of the events.
The effect of the correction on global temperatures is minor (some 1-2% less warming than originally thought), but the effect on the US global warming propaganda machine could be huge.
