Ban Koran like Mein Kampf, says Dutch MP
The Telegraph - UK ^ | 09/08/2007 | Bruno Waterfield

Posted on 08/09/2007 1:27:28 PM PDT by Baladas

The Koran should be banned as a “fascist book” alongside Mein Kampf because it urges Muslims to kill non-believers, says Dutch populist MP Geert Wilders.

The leader of the far-right Freedom Party, which holds nine of the Dutch parliament's 150 seats has called for the ban after an alleged Islam inspired attack on a Labour councillor who had renounced the Muslim faith.

Mr Wilders claims that the Koran “calls on Muslims to oppress, persecute or kill Christians, Jews, dissidents and non-believers, to beat and rape women and to establish an Islamic state by force”.

"Ban this wretched book like Mein Kampf is banned!,” he wrote in yesterday's De Volkskrant newspaper.

The call to treat the Koran in the same way as Adolf Hitler's biography, which has been banned by the Dutch for over 60 years, is the latest in a long line of Islam controversies sparked by Mr Wilders, who lives under tight security after murder attempts by suspected Islamist terrorists.

I don't think banning them will make the sentiments of either book go away.

Bad idea- I think that it should be circulated as widely as possible. The main reason most people underestimate the Islamist threat is that they have no idea what the Koran says.

Nothing to claim, that IS its specific intent. Convert or kill the infidels. If you're a Mohammadan, no matter your station in life, that is what you're commanded to do. I personally don't like book banning. The more appropriate action is to simply classify Mohammadanism as the violent political death cult that it is, and a threat to national security and their form of liberal (in the positive sense) government, and demand their expulsion from civilized nations.

Now we're talking....

It won't change sentiments but it will discourage the Moslems from leaving their sh*holes to bother us.

Banning books? Isn’t that what Hitler and Khomeini did?

Revile them (the books), sure, but people should be free to READ them so as to understand the hateful bilge they are.

Banning a book in this internet age will do little but to add “the allure of the forbidden” to these books, increasing their appeal to disaffected trash as things The Man doesn’t want them to read.

Europeans tend to do things in extremes. Letting Muslims in the country en masse, then trying to regulate their religion are both bad ideas.

Mein Kampf (translated from German) = "My Struggle"

Jihad (Translated from Arabic) = "My Struggle"

We need to ban a lot more than the Koran!

That's probably why they end up engaging in genocidal attacks against such folks. At least that's been their classical response.

And still, give folks a few decades and they're back at the old immigration trick, trying to move into Europe.

It's a very dangerous place.

My homestate of New York was right to rule that Mohammedism was “not a religion” in the late 19th century IMHO.

Glad to hear this; nonetheless. Certainly challenges the ROP; beyond the prescribed, 'politically correct' translation. Also shows, what appears to be an honest level of frustration with Islamists in the Netherlands. A frustration that sends a warning signal to other countries as well.

Might encourage others to see the similarities of Nazism and Radical Islam. . .and so perhaps, understand their dynamics and agenda, more clearly.

OTOH. . .the blindness of 'PC' may prevail and the Dutch MP just might want to increase his personal security detail. . .

Once again... Gotta hand it to the Dutch! They've got spunk...

Most importantly, unlike most other Euro's, they have recognized their Muzzie problem and are taking steps to address it.

People need to read bad ideas and learn how bad they really are. Part of the reason I’m the conservative I am is because I actually read Das Kapital and learned just how wrong Marx was.

This bloke has some stones, there’s no denying it. I’m not sure if I’d have the guts to say something like that wif tere were enough radical Muzzies to put out attempts on my life.

And besides, we’ve been seeing Old Europe lie down and tamely take the beating it’s been given by Muslims for some time. It’s absolutely brilliant to see them try and fight back. I suspect this man is a dyed-in-the-wool conservative, and a good one, at that.

I agree with Geert Wilders. Its a fascist text and should be outlawed. The Koran has nothing of redeeming moral value. Its a pornography of hate and violence directed against all non-Muslims.
