You sheep, you "Bushbots" can continue following with your brown noses shining brightly. I'll take another path.

I am no sheep, but I am not about to start acting hysterical over a guy who has on balance been a good President. Use your energy to get somebody elected who's actually going to fix the borders.

The utter gall of these people. If our leaders had any ***** she'd be arrested and returned home. Instead she will be hailed as a martyr, with our philandering mayor sitting beside her leading the cheers.

Makes me sick.

“1. Are other criminals in Chicago allowed to seek immunity from our law in churches?”

Under the current administration certain laws may apparantly be ignored by certain people unless they need to throw us peons a few crumbs.

“Sanctuary in a church??? I guess we are still in the dark ages.”

Any excuse for the PTB to keep from doing their jobs.

“I defy you to show any legal provision for such a thing in U.S. law.”

Just like the will of this administration to enforce immigration law, I don’t believe such a thing exists.

Good President? You have pretty low standards.

Good President? You have pretty low standards.

More likely you have a very high level of bias and a short memory. For some on FR everything Dubya has done wrong is ignored, and for others everything he has ever done right is forgotten. The latter group is very, very much larger than the former.

I'm not a member of either group. I disagree sharply with this president on a number of issues, but that doesn't blind me to his good points, which are quite numerous.

About the only decent thing Bush has done is appoint 2 Supremes. I don’t consider open borders, CFR, NCLB, expanded prescription plans, and being PC in fighting a war stellar marks and good traits of a President. Just because he’s a republican doesn’t make him a good leader and President.

As I said, there are some people on FR who wouldn't dislike this guy if he got caught killing puppies, and there are some (like you) who make him out to be the second coming of Jimmy Carter. I'm not expecting to be able to reason with either of you.

But, just so I won't be accused of running away, here are the President's accomplishments in one area (pro-life) in just his first term. The list was compiled by Planned Parenthood, and yes, I am aware that some of the items are mentioned more than once.

Report Topics:
Reducing Access To Family Planning
Building The Platform To Outlaw Abortion
Redefining The Legal Status Of The Fetus
Packing The Courts To Overturn Roe
Replacing Science With Right-Wing Ideology
Censoring Free Speech

She also declined to give specifics about when Arellano left the storefront church on Chicago's West Side,

This is the first I heard it was a storefront church. Just about anybody can open one of those, and apparently harbor criminals.

You're darn tootin' anybody can open a church anytime they want. It's called the First Amendment, look it up.

The man has almost single-handedly destroyed the Republican party and should be removed as President and Commander-in-Chief.

BTW, I had forgotten this little bon mot and failed to respond to it. Sorry to be harsh, but it is nothing less than moronic to advocate impeaching a President in a time of war.

You're painting yourself into a corner. Using your rationale there would, in all probability, never again be an impeachment of a president. The "War on Terror" is no different that the "War on Poverty" (1964) or the "War on Drugs" (as early as 1880). None are really wars, but instead efforts to suppress certain actions. Labeling supression of hostile actions as a "War on Terror" is nothing more than a political gimmick.

Did you know we also have an ongoing "War Against Obesity"? Don't be fooled by the government's use of the term "war". It's worth billions of dollars to the politicians.

I find your comments somewhat insulting but expected from someone that thinks Bush has done a good job. Sorry you have no concept of politics.

I'm sorry that, like John Edwards, you think the War on Terror is just a bumper sticker.

I'll admit that we have to reserve the right to impeach a President in time of war...but the idea that we've reached that point, or are even in the same solar system as said point, is moonbattery.
