Fish Hawk speaks for 99 percent of those here is all.
It you think that is true, then you have a case to report this thread to the Admin Moderator.
Why don’t you do that and stop with the tantrum?
Thanks for bringing our attention to it before you did (or could) translate it.
The way Freerepublic works is that it brings articles such as this to the fore so that people can comment on it.
Much better to have a pro-FR german post than another anti-FR english post about something BOR said!
I'd much rather see things like this logged immediately, subsequently translated down-thread, than for you to delay putting it up.
Three cheers for Solidwood. Two jeers for fish and bubbalon.
Big bump.
I’ve seen Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, Polish, Russian and Italian posted here at FR.
Someone always manages to translate them.
I don’t know why this is being trolled.
Fish. Calm down.
You are at a disadvantage because you cannot understand german....that’s your problem.
I know enough german to at least be able to skim this, but not enough to fully translate it.
Thus, I’m glad solidwood put it up.
If you don’t like it, move...along....
LongJack gave us a nice cliff note too.
Why not ban all of the science/tech threads which are also beyond the comprehension of some?
Then we can start on the legal doc type threads. Who here really speaks lawyer?
:)
I'll just bookmark it for later........much later if I ever decide to learn German.
My computer keyboard only has so many "click on's" and to think I just wasted one.
Thanks for your replies.
jveritas deserves our gratitude and I’m glad he finally got some media recoginiton (although rather ambiguous from an leftist German magazine) for his tremendous work.
Vinnie is a 1%er.
If you don’t like the thread, move on. That’s what I do.
I tend to think that when a good article is being trolled like this one is, it's because someone doesn't like it when the truth gets out. I kind of like the truth myself, though, so I'm glad it was posted, and subsequently translated.
see post 54
First rule when you’re digging a hole....stop digging.
Try it. Yer making yourself look positively foolish.
By the feedback I am getting maybe I was wrong. Maybe the one quarter of one percent I claimed should have been one half of one percent.
Most people who are speaking Spanish in our stores, on our streets, or in our schools are not saying anything of particular interest to the public in general—THIS article, however, is. Plus, I’ve seen some articles posted here in Spanish, often alongside a translation, and I’ve not seen anyone whine to the degree you have.
Use the little red “x” box on the top of the window. It will close this thread down, and you can move on to something more to your liking—perhaps there’s a nice article in English about the latest adventures of Paris Hilton.
The article is in it’s native language from it’s native country’s publication. That is what makes the internet so wonderful.
Now, if it was in a language other than English in a USA publication such as USA Today, then you would have sympathies for your complaints.
