People need to drop the Unflushables and rally solidly behind Duncan Hunter. The fact that the GOP doesn't like him should tell us all something about the GOP!

The GOP is pathetic. I am so sick of the Washington holier than though leadership..........the people SPOKE out on the immigration issue and they still won't listen. We need to SHOUT a little louder.

The GOP is pathetic. I am so sick of the Washington holier than though leadership..........the people SPOKE out on the immigration issue and they still won't listen. We need to SHOUT a little louder.

For FOUR years we've been replying to the GOP's phone calls, letters, and e-mails with the single, unified response of SECURE THE BORDERS!

But what happens? Kyle holds hands with that tyrant Ted (hic!) Kennedy and they draft SHAMNESTY. We're supposed to feel better because it was a bipartisan effort though...BAH! When we clog their e-mail systems, overrun their P.O. boxes, cause their fax machines to use metric tons of toner and paper, and THREATEN enough of them to back off of the idea and focus on BORDER SECURITY, what do they do?

They should have been sorry for misreading a constituency so badly. But no! They didn't do this! They were INDIGNANT that we would DARE stand up against them! The President himself delivered a most offensive and scroching speech the day afterwards directed at us telling us of his displeasure for us and especially grass roots efforts.

Now we've got these pandering leftists....the turds who won't flush...the UNFLUSHABLES!....Giuliani, McCain, and Romney... endorsed and rubber stamped by the GOP! Most intelligent conservatives can make a logical choice and simply ignore these creeps and support somebody better if not for them being a bunch of COWARDS. The GOP-bots are driven by fear...a fear that Hillary will win the Executive Office in 2008! But as long as they're driven by fear, the should simply resign themselves to their ultimate fear. Because IF the GOP manages to send one of the Unflushables to the 2008 election, that worst fear will come true. There are simply too many of us for it to happen any other way, and we are FEARLESS. We will either win, or lose, but we will not fear.

This has nothing to do with the ability to rationalize, or predict. That's not the issue, nor is it disputed. That's why I scare the crap out of people with these things I"m saying.

The Democratic party is the party of no morals. But the Replublican party is the party of cowards, and no morals trumps cowards every time in this age.

Hey, I sent Duncan $100 at the start of the year. If he’s still on the ballot by the time Washingington primary takes place.

But I’m also a realist. Polls don’t lie. (Individual polls might — but there are hundreds out by now and they all show Duncan at 1%.)

He raised very little money in the last quarter. What is the path you see for his success? FR has 100,000 very politically active people, and a higher than average number of Duncan supporters.

But when you get out into the larger world it’s “Duncan who?” and “Hunter what?”.

I think he’s running for VP. If he was serious about his POTUS run he’d need to start doing something very different.

So, I love Hunter but I am still a political realist.

By all means promote your vision of the GOP in the primaries. That’s what they are for. I think calling people who don’t agree with Hunter or Tancredo “cowards” is a little over the top, though.

I am sure there are some number of Republicans who won’t support the candidate if it’s Rudy or Mitt. That’s a part of politics.

On the other hand there are probably a lot more Democrats who would consider voting for Rudy (and maybe Mitt) than the number of sore loser Republicans who would boycott or vote Constitution party.

It’s important to find a candidate who can win. If Duncan can’t even win a primary how can he win the general election? Ditto for Tancredo (who does not strike me as a serious candidate.)

I didn't say they were cowards for not agreeing with Hunter or Tancredo. I said they were cowards for the whole attitude of knowing there is so little difference between the three GOP front runners, and the likes of Hillary/Obama. To accept what the GOP has to offer simply because they're the lesser of two evils is cowardly at a MINIMUM.

It's not JUST important to find a candidate who can win. It's important to find one who doesn't buy votes, pander or "pretend" to represent our interests. Finding a winner is a job for people who turn teen aged girls into pop stars. Finding acceptable top leadership for this nation is a job for people who can spot somebody who inspires confidence and loyalty....unlike those three who the GOP currently endorses!

Lord forbid! Duncan didn't make the primaries! Oh my..that's the end of him I suppose! The all mighty GOP doesn't like him that much!? Why do you suppose that is? Why do people get mad with me for asking this question?

Let me remind you that this is the same GOP who held a majority power in the United States House, Senate, and Executive office until this past year and yet during their control of power rolled over to the left every time they were accused of wrong doing.

They're the same GOP that shared power with whining, minority leftists screaming at the top of their shrill little voices because "partisanship" was unfair.

Now that the GOP isn't in control anymore, have you noticed how partisanship is fair once again? It's amazing isn't it?!

This is the same GOP that we've been responded to all correspondence for the past four years with the single minded response of "SECURE THE BORDERS"!

This is the same GOP who recently got comfy with Uncle Ted (hic!) Kennedy and conspired to legally enact shamnesty after our years of our calling to secure the borders!

This is the same GOP who after we shot them down on such a travesty called Harry Reid in our enemy's camp to try to revive it against our will. I don't have to remind you that our very own CINC did that!

I'll say it again... IF the GOP sends one of the three Turds Who Won't Flush to the Presidential election in 2008, they will effectively hand the Executive office to Hillary.

I stand by what I said about the cowards. It's visible in what they write that they are frightened and they should be ashamed.

Ben Franklin once wrote, "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

This whole situation of GOP-bots voting for the best of the worst is strangely parallel to Franklin's words....unfortunately!

Well, hopefully border security and illegal immigration never become entirely a state’s issue.

The federal government must be forced to do the job or be held responsible for not.

Were I the governor of a border state, I'd call up the state militia. No, not the NG - the militia, over which the feds have no jurisdiction unless they are called up by the President. I'd set up the requirement that serving members of the militia would be required to own and maintain at least a semi-auto version of the standard infantry rifle of the US Army, and would provide for the option of obtaining (at a nominal charge per year - something like $5) a full auto version that would be owned by the state (but which they would be required to bring home and maintain there with at least 500 rounds of ammo, similar to the Swiss). I would establish something akin to a boot camp, so that those seriously interested would get into shape, have some discipline and learn how to safely handle, clean and use the weapons. Further, all militia members who went through such training would also be deputized as police officers, so that they could carry handguns anywhere in the country.

I'm sure that this would cause the Feds and the media to have an apoplectic fit, and to do something about security so that "all those rednecks" wouldn't be patrolling the border. Good, and eff'em. That'd take some of the financial burden off of the states (or at least mine) and free up money to train more of the militia.

Of course, I'm to un-PC (as evidenced by the above) to ever be elected governor of a state (or be interested in going through the degrading process, either), but it is something that could and SHOULD be done, IMHO.

Wow! I don't know where are in relation to Ft. Hood, but my daughter is there and her hubby is in the sand box. I worry about that.

It isn't quite that bad here, but Denver is a sactuary city (they deny it, though) and thier trash spills over into where I live. I can't do much about Denver, they keep electing leftist fools. There are areas, Greely for example, that are getting pretty bad. LEOs do need to squelch this, but your observation about police chiefs is spot on.

YOU stay safe!

Will do MileHi !

Your baby girl is better off at that post IMO. Never worry as troops stick together for the most part and help each others families when spouses are deployed !

Military is something I swore I would NEVER miss yet at times I do miss the professionalism and loyalty....... ya just don;t find that short of family and good friends out here in the world !

I think a simple effective casual approach to ones security is key.

As stated ....leaving the house these days just involves tucking a 1911A1 or a Glock 21 into my waistband and dropping a spare mag in the side pocket on my carpenter jeans. The cell phone in my pocket and and understanding that the ballistic coefficient of a Dodge 2500 Cummins 4x4 doing 70 mph is a better stopper than a 230 grain HP any day .......:o)

And insurance covers any social indiscretions I may FUBAR !

Stay safe !

The better of two evils con game has poisoned our country.

Some are cowardly, but for others, it's just one big con-job.
