New photo gallery of the Seattle festival promoting the industrial and household use of hemp.
Here is one of the happy attendees.(/sarc)

Another article about it, too.

With a bit of apprehension at sounding non PC, I think smoking or cultivating pot should be up to the discretion of the citizen and not the State. Just my two cents.

I have to admit that I think it is ridiculous to keep pot illegal, but looking at this crowd makes me go WTF????

Gee...and in my speech class at college this last week, not one, but TWO of my classmates made speeches attempting to persuade us that marijuana should be de-criminalized.
One guy admitted he has friends who use it, but mentioned nothing about himself. The other person, a fellow Culinary Arts student, admitted she uses to help her with a nerve condition. And she said she pours out the used bong water on her plants, and it helps them to grow.
As for me...never ever got high, never ever will.

Industrial hemp is a product that should be produced in the United States. It isn’t marijuana, rather it’s a crop that has good commercial value.

The Sunday Seattle Times said kids, even young kids in strollers outnumbered the hippies. Yes parents bring their kids to this. The Hemp Fest and Seattle’s Pride Parade where nudity and nastiness are the norm are celebrated as family events here in the wacky & crazy Northwest
