Now that would be some kind of coup, if Herself, the Cold and Joyless, could somehow entice Karl Rove to become part of her campaign, if for no other reason than to prevent any Republican from utilizing Rove’s talents.

Continuing in this highly unlikely scenario, Herself, once she is coronated - er - nominated by the DNC, declares a “Fusion ticket”, picking up one of the less well-known Republican possibilities for high office as her VP. (No, not McCain, He is cuffing CRAZY, man.) This fusion ticket would have the smug and complacent “middle” all satisfied, as if something that had been troubling them greatly had finally been “solved”.

One thing that may be counted on, however, is that the already highly polarized segments of the electorate will be totally DISSATISFIED, and may not be so very restrained about demonstrating this dissatisfaction. Cleavage of the nation becomes a very real possibility at that time.

But this is all sheer speculation. Karl Rove is not THAT self-centered.

I remember 1992, when the Republicans couldn’t wait to run a war hero who’d beaten Saddam against a womanizing, draft-dodging, smoked-pot-but-didn’t-inhale obscure governor. They got their wish, but the end result wasn’t exactly what they had planned. This time around, any Dem nominee is a potential winner if the Republicans don’t get their act together in the next year.

saying voters’ strong negative opinions about her will be difficult to overcome.

No. - They will not.

That old bumper sticker “Anyone but Bush!” is the true indicator, or cue, of the mindset of virtually everyone who did not vote for for Bush, and it can understood simply by changing ”Bush” to "the GOP"

anyone but the GOP!

They could run a pederast and count on winning everything in the blue states.
Kerry was nobody! - A liberal loon and anti-American from the uber-liberal NE and he came within one state of beating an incumbent president in a time of armed struggle with a murderous foe, and a time of unparalleled prosperity.

It will be very, very difficult to win in 08

txflake had a point similar to yours....I told txflake, he was being mean with his comment... LOL ... cause if the msm was watching...txflake sent the msm into a marathon meeting for the next thirty days to discuss preparedness, for txflake’s comment about Mr. Rove on another thread.... just as your point only enforces that comment....tioga....LOL.... the meeting of the msm just went into emergency session till after the campaign is over and the votes are counted. FReepers certainly know how to scare the heck out of the msm....LOL

Who else would have been a serious contender for the Republican nomination for President in 1992? I always thought that George H.W. Bush “jumped the shark” while in the three-way debate with Perot and whatsis, he was glancing impatiently at his watch. Bush 41 simply was not engaged in the serious business of demolishing his competition that night (Perot, not so much whatsis). Every vote Perot got, was at the expense of George H.W. Bush.

He’s doesn’t need to. Our Lord has picked His MAN that’ll be the 44th President of the United States. And it’ll not be a rat.

The MSM gets it wrong once again. Rove said that he would not work officially for any campaign nor would he endorse a candidate. He did say that he knew the campaign managers of the top four candidates and would unofficially share his views with them if contacted. He added that he knew such discussions would be confidential.

Sometimes the devil is allowed to run around with all of the lies and deceit imaginable. You and I both realize prayer and faith alone will not ‘get ‘er done’™ (not my trademark, and I do NOT know the party affiliation of Larry, the Cable Guy) in the next election cycle. It will take hard work, but I believe Americans are up to the task. No demonrat is going to slip by this time, unless a fix is being worked on as MSNBC tried to pull concerning the election of 2000 by announcing Florida for Gore. Even if this should happen, they cannot cheat if it’s not close, as All here know. Still hard work will be necessary....mho

There are some DU’ers who wouldn’t vote for her if she was running against Cheney.
Hmmmm...sounds like some people here who say they won’t vote for Rudy or Romney no matter what!
Let’s just hope there is a lot more of them (the DU’ers) or we are set to be hearing “Madamn President dearest, Madamn President dearest!” by an excited and loving press in the near future.

I am glad Rove stepped aside. It opens the door for new perspectives and keeps the Rats off balance trying to figure out strategy unknown.

"It just says people have made an opinion about her. It's hard to change opinions once you've been a high-profile person in the public eye, as she has for 16 or 17 years."

He's got a point in his statement for many don't have or want the fortitude to actually think before they vote and since voting is so easy anymore that even a dog can do it, those who think that some humans actually exist that don't smell up the room when they flagellate can vote.

To Hitlery's demise, far too many think that her flatulence does smell up the room. ; )

This is an AP (”All Phoney”) headline folks, don’t waste a lot of time analyzing it. I saw the interview; only a lefty, partisan “urinalist” would write it.
