The Left is Brain-dead

I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to make sense of the world. Which is probably all the proof anyone needs to prove that I’m certifiably loony. Even though I know that one of the most obvious symptoms of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over again in the foolish belief that the end result will be different this time, I can’t help myself.

For instance, a question that constantly plagues me is: why are there still people who long to see Communism prevail? Even back in the 1930s, when America was suffering through the Great Depression, very few American leftists packed their bags and moved to the Soviet Union. They certainly paid lip service to the so-called worker’s paradise, the Communist Eden, trying to peddle it to the masses, but they, themselves, Stalin’s “useful idiots,” chose to remain here, in Chicago and New York, Philadelphia and Detroit. A few of them went over there, but they didn’t stay long. All in all, they seemed to think it was a nice place to visit, but they didn’t want to die there. So why do so many people continue to promote the vile system?

Perhaps way back in the old days when Marx and Engels were kicking ideas around, people could be excused for seeing something nice in their theories. But ever since then, wherever societies have attempted to turn theory into reality, the earth has been bathed in blood, whether it was in Russia, China, East Germany, Cambodia, Cuba, Venezuela, Hungary or North Korea; brutal tyrannies, each and every one. In none of those countries, not too surprisingly, has art, literature or science, flourished. Aside from various forms of torture, these regimes have contributed absolutely nothing to mankind, and yet the yahoos of the Left continue their incessant cheerleading.

Such extremely successful capitalists as Oliver Stone, Steven Spielberg and Michael Moore, pay court to Fidel Castro, in spite of the fact that Castro censors the Cuban press, persecutes homosexuals, imprisons AIDS victims, and executes his political foes. But, then, what else would you expect in a world in which Che Guevara posters continue to sell in the millions?

Speaking of millions, even I was shocked to read that, according to Forbes, Cuba’s dictator is richer than England’s queen. I knew it was good to be king, but apparently it’s even better being a left-wing tyrant.

If you’re of a certain age, you may recall that years ago, during the Cold War, there was a major controversy revolving around the introduction of fluoride into America’s water supply. Those in favor claimed it would strengthen our teeth and help us ward off cavities. Those on the other side insisted it was all a Commie plot. I can’t recall exactly what it was the anti-fluoride crowd worried about. But if they suspected that, while toughening up our teeth, it would simultaneously weaken our national resolve and turn us into a bunch of weak-kneed, chicken-hearted, liberals, who insist we run from any fight we can’t win in five minutes, they just may have been right.

For instance, a question that constantly plagues me is: why are there still people who long to see Communism prevail?

Because every simple-minded person who is raised in our culture thinks that feelings are more important than logic.

These people then go to school where teachers don't teach them how to think, but WHAT to think--and the vast majority of these teachers are liberal (because they take these teaching jobs as a way of achieving a feeling of power, of controlling people's lives, of shaping the world). And they teach these people that feeling is greater than thinking, and that whole ANYONE is wanting, then those who have luxuries (like clean clothes and regular meals) are taking more than they should.

These people then hear about communism, which boils down to (in their feeling-centric worldview) "If you need it, you get it, for free! If you want to work, you can, but you're not forced to! From each according to his ability, to each according to his need--doesn't that sound so RIGHT? So FAIR?

These people spout the line about how communism has "never been done right"--a handy way of avoiding the tens of millions of murdered bodies piled up in the name of this insane but cool-sounding ideology.

Forget economics--that's all that old white guy BS. Forget the examples of the animal kingdon--we are perfectable. Forget capitalism, which provides the means of support while one is having these happy thoughts--that's not RADICAL enough (and to be radical is to be oh, so cool and for the people, like Che! who looked so cool in that hat).

Forget reality, because it's not sexy to think "We should all get to work, earn our way, and survive according to our means." It's just so...so like our parents, so like everyone else, and we are SPECIAL, see? See how much we CARE--we want to give EVERYONE EVERYTHING--for free! That's just so COOL!

And it feeeeels good! To heck with "logic" and "reality".

Communist belief in the western world is the triumph of feeeeling over thought.

However Stalin sent number of them to Siberia, as "foreign spies".

He did not take a chance on our dedicated comrades, LOL.

You are right, of course. It is the triumph of stupidity. It is a generation of the willingly lobotomized.

For the Left, their idea of communism is to go down to the local coffee house, drink double espressos, discuss books by obscure third-world authors, and watch some aging Hippee musician play Peter Seger folk songs while spouting socialist slogans. The reality would curl their hair. They want their utopian programs applied to someone else, not them. The illusion that they are “doing the right thing” is paramount to these people.

,,,we want to give EVERYONE EVERYTHING--for free! That's just so COOL!

I certainly don't want that. The dumbDems want that. There are still millions of us who get it. But that isn't enough. We have to fight it too. Voting is a huge way to fight. By not sitting on our collective behinds on election day(s) and thinking someone else will do it. Assume they won't.

Getting the right people to vote for is an even bigger problem. Not so easily solved but that's no excuse not to work at it.

Anti-fluoridation nuts worried that fluoride is a deadly poison and that adding it to drinking water would turn us into mind-numbed sloths. Guess what? They were correct!

“why are there still people who long to see Communism prevail?”

Maybe what we’re seeing the Nancy Pelosis, Michael Moores, Al Gores and John Conyers doing is not pushing for Communism but Fascism.

The only difference between Communism and Fascism is that the former is international and the latter is national. Otherwise, they both suppress freedom and exert government control of everything.

The motivation of these aforementioned stooges is that they hope that they will become great leaders in the peoples’ utopia they’re hawking.

Group Captain Lionel Mandrake

General Jack D. Ripper: Mandrake, do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream, Mandrake, children's ice cream.

Group Captain Lionel Mandrake: Lord, Jack.

Ripper: You know when fluoridation first began?

Mandrake: Uh... no, no. I don't Jack.

Ripper: Nineteen hundred and forty-six. Nineteen forty-six Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? Its incredibly obvious isn't it. A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.

Mandrake: Uh, Jack, Jack, listen, tell me, tell me, Jack. When did you first...become...well, develop this theory?

Ripper: Well, I, uh...I...I...first became aware of it, Mandrake, during the physical act of love.

Mandrake: Hmm.

Ripper: Yes, a profound sense of fatigue...a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I...I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence.

Mandrake: Hmm.

Ripper: I can assure you that it has not recurred, Mandrake. Women sense my power and they seek its life essence. I do not avoid women, Mandrake But I do deny them my essence. Your Commie has no regard for human life. Not even his own.<

I would have liked for the author to make a little better connection between old-time communism and the actions that our leftists consider simple “progressiveness” and forward thinking.

So many people are uneducated about the socialist incrementalism that is moving us into socialism, which has all the earmarks of communism, without the dictator. STill a good article though.
