(And, no, I don’t know anything about the circumstances of Fred’s divorce, but it doesn’t seem he’s in the same league as Guiliani, McCain and Newt on that one.)

If you don't know something, then HOW can you possibly make ANY comparisons?

And if Mitt was President for 8 years, it would pretty much show the prediction 'that the US Constitution was hanging by a thread' and we LDS organization members have saved it!

That’s funny, Elsie. It took you two posts to come up with that. Sort of like you were winding up to pitch a fast ball but got distracted and threw to first base... then got back to delivering your stinger. Good work!

Then your comments are pretty much irrelevant in regards to this thread, which is all about the Romney candidacy for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and the role of Mormonism in that candidacy and, if applicable, subsequent Presidency. Do you have any RELEVANT comments on the subject?

That's funny. Here I've posted repeated comments on "the role of Mormonism in that candidacy," and somehow you can't recognize them as such. You can't be serious that you think that "the role of Mormonism in that candidacy" is limited to what goes on inside the activity of the Romney campaign, can you?

(Beyond what I've said about the LDS church itself, may I suggest at the very least you take "Political Campaigning 101" & pay close attention to details about the role of grassroots support and the fundraising base...folks that a campaign has little control over re: their activities).

So to clarify: "The role of Mormonism" goes beyond this campaign. It includes donors. It includes general authority supporters. It includes grassroots folks. And guess what? It includes what all these folks will likely do come 2009, which goes well beyond the candidacy stage.

Then your comments are pretty much irrelevant in regards to this thread, which is all about the Romney candidacy...

Hmmm...so you don't like my comments applying to 2009 & beyond so to make them irrelevant, just close the time period under discussion to 2007-2008?...Well, nice try...(Maybe I should date my posts for you to customize this for your level of comprehension...things like, "This applies to relevant issues for the years 2009 & beyond." Would that help you out, or will you still be confused?)

There’s only one religion that is truly evil.

John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

John 5:24
"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Thank you for your kind response.

You are quite welcome.

What was her purpose in pointing out the LDS Church humanitarian efforts in Peru?

Probably to show you nasty-mouthed cruds that Mormons are not quite the devils you love to fantasize their being.

What does that have to do with Mitt?

Nothing. It has to do with showing the ridiculousness of your poisonous crap.

What does that have to do with the truthfulness of the LDS claims of being the “only” true Church.

Nothing. Anyone who can read can see that.

What does it have to do with Christianity.

I think it's a fairly good example of a Christian Church doing what Christian Churches are supposed to do when people need help.

When was the last time you did something of the sort?

Why is it relevant in any way?

If you can't see why, there is no need in my trying to explain it to you.

Did you say your wife is LDS? Why aren’t you?

What does that have to do with Mitt?

You are truly such a sweet-heart. Its hard to believe you aren’t a Mormon, you are JUST that sweet an kind.

The only part of your post that deserves a response is this:

q: When was the last time I personally was involved in a humanitarian effort?

a:...Sunday. We feed the poor and homeless at Pioneer park in Salt Lake City. I’ve never seen the Mormon Church there. But I recognize that Mormons do all kinds of humanitarian aid and it’s good of them.

When I said only one religion is truly evil, I was speaking as a citizen of the United States, not as the member of any congregation. I stand by what I said, no matter how many bible verses you post.

Nope; I'm not.

The Mormons' opposition to slavery was the primary reason that they were unwelcome in Jackson County, Missouri. Go look it up.

“I don’t trust him because he is Mormon”.....”Now you are free to call me a bigot.” Good, I will.
