Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's campaign took aim at Fred Thompson, after the former senator posted a blog on his Web site criticizing New York City gun-control laws and singling out Giuliani by name. "When I was working in television, I spent quite a bit of time in New York City, Thompson wrote, according to The Hill newspaper. "There are lots of things about the place I like, but New York gun laws dont fall in that category. "Now, the same activist federal judge from Brooklyn who provided Mayor Giulianis administration with the legal ruling it sought to sue gun makers, has done it again. Last week, he created a bizarre justification to allow New York City to sue out-of-state gun stores that sold guns that somehow ended up in criminal hands in the Big Apple. Giulianis campaign reacted on Tuesday: "Those who live in New York in the real world - not on TV - know that Rudy Giulianis record of making the city safe for families speaks for itself, Katie Levinson, Giuliani's communications director, said in response to press questions. "No amount of political theater will change that

Agree Duncan as first choice. Right now, I am a single issue voter, that issue being the War in Iraq. Everything else is a distant second in importance compared to the prospect of defeat.
That being defeat orchestrated by the American political class.

Tancredo is my guy, though I would vote for FT if he is the nominee. I just think that poster is funny!

Duncan Hunter is my first choice, Thompson is my second, Romney is a distant third. I like Tancredo, but dont think he is in the running right now, but I would vote for him in a heartbeat if he were nominated.I view McCain and Giuliani as enemies to my party and my Republic - almost as bad the DemonRats.
You need to move gun grabber Romney to the enemies column, because he is no friend of freedom.

I agree with you. But if the chips were down and you HAD to choose between Romney and Hitlery, what would you do? I would vote my conscience and go third party or write in. If I'm going to lose my rights, better it be under a DemocRAT.

Daily FDT facts from IMAO.
Examples:
Harry Reid once got a black eye from a memory of Fred Thompson.
Ways to kill a vampire: 1. Sunlight. 2. Stake through the heart. 3. Tell Fred Thompson that the vampire called him a sissy.
Four our of five dentists agree: You should avoid getting punched in the mouth by Fred Thompson. The fifth dentist hates you.
The most commonly known English phrases worldwide are "Hello," "Thank you," and "Please don't hurt me, Fred Thompson!"

^5 to Fred for bringing new focus on liberal Rudy's anti-gun, gun grabbing leanings.
Any focus on Rudy's 2nd Amendment positions (not to mention focus on all his other liberal leanings),,,
is a SURE LOSER for Rudy in the conservative base.
Let's hope Fred keeps the focus on 'whole Rudy' story. We do NOT need a gun-grabbing liberal to head our Party!!

I've scared the crap out of people by saying this over the past several days. I've been accused of being stupid, a Libertarian, a trouble maker, a fear mongerer, crazy...etc... No, you just have been telling it like it is. I feel the same way. The lesser of two evils is still evil. And we're not talking that much less. I can't stomach the thought of voting for Giuliani or Romney and I won't. I'll be doing the same...voting third party or write in if either is the eventual nominee.

I unfortunately have to agree with you.
The line in the sand runs across the ground in the primaries of next year.
If a lib is nominated in the Republican Party - and it can happen by default as there are many conservative running too - Tancredo, Paul, Huckabee, Hunter, Tancredo, Thompson and Hunter - the Repubs are finished. As a lifelong Republican in his early 60’s I would be more than willing to put a match to the netire Republican establishment and support a party like the Constitutionalists in the future.
TWO Bushes were a forest - and I don’t want any clones in the White House again - EVER.

Good post. The only way that Hillary (with her high negatives) gets elected,,,,
is if the Republicans do something totally stupid and nominate someone who splits the Party.
If you want to DIVIDE and SPLIT the Republican Party WIDE OPEN,,,,
a liberal like Rudy JulieAnnie is JUST THE MAN FOR THE JOB!!!

Ah, but keep in mind - the War in Iraq is really a single battle for the heart and soul of the west and civilization by Islam. But its a battle we can’t afford to loose. If you draw a line in the sand, you have to defend it or you will be drawing lines for the rest of your wretched existence.

Don't take this the wrong way, because I do, in general, like Duncan Hunter, but I can't understand how Hunter is in the running while Tancredo isn't. Tancredo polled far better in Ames than Hunter (13.7%-1.2%), is polling about the same nationally (both at 1-2%), and has raised more than twice the money ($2.8 mill-$1.3 mill).
You certainly aren't alone in thinking that Hunter has a chance while Tancredo doesn't, but the facts suggest otherwise to me. I'm just wondering if you guys are seeing something I'm not.
To: dynachrome
Tancredo is a great choice! Did you catch him on Fox news this morning? As he’s done in the past with other’s, now he’s encouraging the Newark victim’s families to sue the city and the mayor! It was a great interview!

Rudys none-response speaks louder than words about what he REALLY thinks about the Second Amendment (its up to the states)... He wasn't leaving it up to the states. He was trying to sue gun manufacturers out of business to drive up the costs of guns so only the very wealthy could afford them.
He has absolutely no respect for people's constitutional rights. He believes in the power of the government to force its will on the people.

You’re one of the few who has answered me in such a manner. Too few people realize the truth in what you’ve said. But they’re willing to make it a reality by endorsing such poor examples as Giuliani, McCain, and Romney.
