The Hubbard family of Clovis has lost a second son to the war in Iraq, according to the Clovis Police Department.
Army Specialist Nathan Hubbard, 21, was killed while serving his country. The military has not yet released any details surrounding Hubbards death.
The Hubbard family received notification of his death Wednesday afternoon.
In 2004, Nathan's brother Lance Corporal Jared Hubbard and his childhood friend Jeremiah Baro were killed in action near Ramadi in November of 2004.
Both Nathan and a third brother, Jason Hubbard, joined the the Army in 2005 following Jared's death.
Dear Lord, give them strength and comfort. What a price to pay. God Bless the entire family.
This is very sad.
Prayers for his loved ones.
From near that neighborhood, prayers, and thanks which can never be enough.
May he rest in peace. I think in this instance the 3rd son should be sent back stateside. This family has already endured enough of a sacrifice.
Sometimes there is a website courtesy of the funeral home to “write” in the “guest” book. If they have this, could you post the link. I’m sure many at FR would like to show their appreciation to the family and try to lift them up.
For these men and their families we pray.
How do we find the words to say it, how blessed we are by their sacrifice, how devastated we are by their deaths? We can only lift their names up to the God who now holds them, and weep with those who loved them.
For Nathan, Jared, and Jeremiah, there are only tears. Were we able to see through those tears, perhaps then we could glimpse the bright Sun under which they stand, together at last in God’s Morning. But what our eyes cannot see, the heart can feel...
It is that glimpse to which we cling; the Love of God, bringing the ray of Heaven’s hope deep into the night of our despair.
Its said that an apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard, I want to commend you for your child raising and instilling virtue and honor into such fine young men! May our Lord give you the strength to endure your losses and may I personally say, “Thank-you” to your family for its devotion and love for our great nation. Your sons are heroes in many eyes.
How very tragic ... I can’t imagine their heartbreak. God bless the great families who endure so much for this country. May their sons be together in God’s heavenly peace and joy, and may He shine comfort on these grieving parents. We can never repay them.
A bit too soon I think...I will keep an eye out and let you (and everyone) know.

Such a loss for one family.
The Trooprallys
Prayers for their eternal rest, and for the comfort and consolation of their friends and family.
A tragic, terrible loss for this family and America.
Having said that, why was this young man in combat after his brother had been killed? Are we that strapped for manpower??????? I think not.
Yes, this family has given a lot to serve our nation. They deserve our sincere gratitude and heartfelt prayers.
Hopefully, the service will use the “sole surviving son” regulation to bring the third and last son home before it is too late.
Prayers for the Hubbards.
The local news pointed out last night that there is a THIRD son now serving in Iraq.
To MRS. BIXBY, BOSTON, MASS.
Dear MadamI have been shown, in the files of the War Department, a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.
I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which shall attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.
I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours very sincerely and respectfully,
A. LINCOLN.
Its an all volunteer army, he might have requested to go just as my son has done once and wants to do again.
How Heartbreaking, God bless them.Praying for the family . Thank you for your Sons service to our Country. We are so sorry for your loss.
