Study: Men With 'Cavemen' Faces Most Attractive to Women

Guys with bulldog-like faces have been chick magnets throughout human evolutionary history.

A recent study of the skulls of human ancestors and modern humans finds that women, and thereby evolution, selected for males with relatively short upper faces.

The region between the brow and the upper-lip is scrunched proportionately to the overall size of their heads.

Among the men who fit the bill: Will Smith and Brad Pitt.

In a past study, researchers found a similar facial pattern in chimpanzees, with males having relatively shorter and broader faces compared with females, controlling for body size.

Men with "mini mugs" might have been most attractive to the opposite sex and thus most likely to attract mates for reproduction, passing along the striking features to the next generation and so forth, said lead study author Eleanor Weston, a paleontologist at the Natural History Museum in London.

LOL, Rupert Grint is the actor who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films. He’s in the lower pic.

And yes, the 10-15 yr old females in my household think he’s smashing. Maybe it’s the red hair and sqawky voice???

It’s always amusing to hear men elaborate on “what women want.” Since women themselves don’t know, it would be a rare man indeed who did. And I would hazard a guess that it’s none of US.

Was I the only one who wasn’t really torn up when Juliet Lewis bit the dust in that movie? Good grief was she annoying!!!

I think I stood up and yelled "Hell YES" in the theater, as if someone had just scored a touchdown.

I remember Henry Kissinger said “power is the ultimate aphrodisiac”. I suspect money is a close second, or maybe they are the same thing.

I will say that just about every college quarterback I have ever known was dating a real babe. For instance, I saw on TV a while back that Archie Manning married the Ole Miss homecoming queen.

Thanks, that explains a lot. I know absolutely zilch about Harry Potter. Never read any of the books and never saw any of the movies. (Nor has anyone in our household)

Thanks. But I’m way ahead of you. I’ve been listening to it on my Windows Media Player for several minutes now.

Not according to surveys.

They like average ones that have some endurance, and maintains it's rigidity, bragging of the fitness of it's owners cardiovascular system.

A big soft marshmallow with a faulty trigger isn't very appealing.

A pal of mine a MacLeod, looking over my shoulder, says that, any one who spells MacLeod, MacCloud is a socalist, a poof, and a faux Scot.
