Free Republic has a deranged person who repeatedly signs up and claims to be a relative, friend or associate of the subject of an article about a murder or unfortunate demise. Yeah, but for some reason that poster abhors capital letters. I think this guy might be legit.

Looks to me like the old gay love of the Republican dude...came back...maybe for cash or bribe to keep quiet...things went out of control...and I’ll bet the Republican dude likely had a weapon and used it on both...then did himself in. The Republican dude was a major player in regional politics...but served mostly as a middle-man (as some news analysts suggest) funneling money to the right guy from contributors who wanted to be unknown.

"The owner of the house, Gonzalez, also has a political-consulting business registered to the home called Strategum Corporation, whose Web site refers to the business as "the one stop solution for all of your campaign needs" and cites clients such as Tom Feeney and Sheri McInvale, who was recently indicted".

Today the prosecutors of the Mark Foley case decided there wasn't enough to charge him with anything.
I'm guessin Mel Martinez is vacationing in Siberia this week...not available for comment.

What is with everyone? This is getting to be like the Jerry Springer show........let the poor victims have some dignity in their death. They all have families and friends and we don’t know them at all, so we shouldn’t be so quick to label it a love triangle gone bad.....jeeesh

Makes no difference to Conservatives or most of the Republican base. He was history the same second he was accused of immorality. Whereas, had he been a Democrat, he'd been elevated to Presidential running material.

What makes it even more creepy is that neighbors apparently heard the shots Monday, but no one called the authorities.

So, the Jeep was usurped by a BMW? The Jeep got mad and murdered the BMWs and then killed itself? Another SUV goes on the rampage.

Okay, interesting take on the crime, but I highly doubt if Gonzalez, “the Republican dude”, was the trigger guy. We shall see. Your scenario doesn’t make much sense to me.

Now that he’s dead and can’t defend himself, there are rumors that he’s gay.
Murder and slander in one neat package.
Politics of personal destruction?

My take on it at this point is this:
If Gonzalez wasn't gay, then yes, it is "the politics of personal destruction" and the Dems have seized upon a PR opportunity (in their minds) to create doubt and mis-information in conservative FL Republican voters' minds about their party - how convenient.
If Gonzalez was, in fact, gay, then perhaps Gonzalez was in the business of pushing pro-gay Republicans into office in the state of Florida. There are many gay activist communities in FL who would like to see gay marriage, etc. Especially in the cities of Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.
There are many possibilities, and I'm sure they will be explored in the weeks and months ahead.
