Rafael Gonzales, a well known Republican strategist in the Central Florida area, was one of 3 men found dead in his home today. Police suspect murder-suicide or foul play in the deaths. Bodies were discovered after a North Carolina woman called police to check on an occupant at that address, after being unable to contact the person. Police believe that there is evidence of a fight or struggle inside the home and that the deaths occured several days ago.

What makes it even more creepy is that neighbors apparently heard the shots Monday, but no one called the authorities.

I dunno. I hear shots from time to time, and I don’t call police. For all I know its somebody shooting at a raccoon or a rat, as I’ve done myself.

They showed the home on TV. It is located in a somewhat upscale subdivision. No critter shooting allowed! :)

Who’d David Abrami?

“Who’d David Abrami?”

Maybe this guy? (from 1992) http://textfiles.tonytee.nl/magazines/PURPS/purps47:

Secret Service vetoes a target

Orlando, Fla. — A right-wing Young Republican group, bowing to
pressure from the US Secret Service, yesterday backed off plans to use
enlarged photos of President-elect Bill Clinton as targets for a weekend
turkey shoot.

“They came down hard on us, saying we threatened the President,
things like that,” said David Abrami, vice president of the Central Florida
Young Republican Club. “So we canceled it.”

When Abrami heard the Secret Service was investigating, he was
worried. Yesterday morning, he spoke with the Secret Service, then decided
to cancel the event.

“We just figured he’s head of the Democratic Party right now, and
we’re Republicans,” said Abrami. “We thought it would be a nice parody.
We didn’t mean any ill will by it.”

Same guy threatened here? (1997) http://orlando.bizjournals.com/orlando/stories/1997/01/20/newscolumn2.html :

Man must leave Guetzloe alone
Orange Circuit Judge Walter Komanski has ordered Thomas Paul Nevins, a former Bally Entertainment Corp. casino petition coordinator from Miami, “to stay away” from Orlando publicist Douglas M. Guetzloe and his family. Komanski also ordered Nevins to stay away from Guetzloe’s former employee, David Abrami, in both cases until the March 4 jury trial involving Guetzloe’s firm, Advantage Consultants Inc., and Florida Locally Approved Gaming Inc. is complete.

Guetzloe sought the Dec. 17, 1996, order after Nevins allegedly threatened Abrami, according to Guetzloe’s filing.
