the senator also made it abundantly clear that even in the worst of times - like a 9/11-style attack on America - rank partisan politics is uppermost in her mind.
Hillary tried to make the case that she would be "the best of the Democrats to deal with" the "horrible prospect" of another terrorist attack against the United States.
Why would it be so horrible?
Said Clinton: Another attack "will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again."
Amazing. And so typically Hillary.
Some might have thought of the possibility of a repeat of the horrendous loss of life...
Others might have imagined the tremendous destruction of property - or the crushing psychological effect such an attack could have on all Americans.
Not Hillary.

I cannot imagine how a woman President could even begin to deal with the muslim world. They would not give her one ounce of credibility. We need a war time President for the time being.
The Islamic fascists see this pig a few steps away from the POTUS and all they need to do is wait.
Went to the Braves - Cardinals baseball game in St. Louis last night. Before the game, they announced a gunnery sergeant in attendance that had lost a leg in Iraq, but had remained in service aiding other injured vets. He got a standing ovation. Made my heart proud.
IF Hillary was president and we were attacked and she did nothing, it would be more than her husband did.
Because...Democraps “can’t STAND the truth!”.

Clinton: Terrorist attack would help GOP
CNN ^ | August 24, 2007
To: BulletBobCo
“It’s a horrible prospect to ask yourself, ‘What if? What if?’ “
“What if” what?
What if people die and are injured? What if people are displaced by the thousands? What if people panic?
So many “what if’s” to think about before “What if it helps Republicans?”
Witness once again the topsey-turvey world of Clintonian moral values.
The font of evil and amorality begins right there.

When your Religion and god are gummit and craven power, what would you expect. Good point though.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Foul is right.
How about Condi? Between her & the lib Colon Powell what more can you expect.
... as far as she's concerned, the worst thing about a terrorist attack is that it might possibly give the GOP a leg up in the elections and keep her from the goal that she has sought for years: becoming president.Perfectly expressed, IMHO.And she says Republicans are obsessed with partisanship and divisive politics?
Interesting and very revealing that hilary thinks that a terrorist attack would automatically give Republicans a major advantage. Aside from the obvious repugnance of that shallow position, it reveals who even she believes is truly more capable of responding to such an attack.
With a statement like “a terrorist attack would help the GOP” , who could give her any credibility? Never mind the loss of life, fortune and property, its what happens to the Democratic Party that is important. G_g forbid if a terrorist attack did happen in the US over the next year, you can bet your mortgage that the first thing that come out of the Democratic camp would be, “George Bush and the Republicans led us to this.”
I for one believe a terrorist attack would lock the presidency for Republicans. If Hillary is likewise convinced, it could be that she is sending a message to the terrorists with this comment. Given that she knows the terrorists would prefer a Clinton victory, she is advising them to wait.
Sounds bizarre and perhaps untenable on some levels, but I do believe she would take all measures to prevent such a singular event from causing her defeat.
Attack after she becomes President? I think you are giving the smartest woman in the world way too much credit...
Bite your tongue! Mistakes sometimes happen, even big mistakes. America is and will always be the hope of the world. Finally, America is a "she" not an "it".
