My grandfather was a decorated WWII vet and didn’t want his sons going either. He felt that his generation had given more than their fair share for their sons. My grandfather wasn’t anti war by any means and supported the troops but let my uncles make their own choices in the matter.

I saw that movie for the first time last night. I thought I was going to laugh to death. Seriesly. And O brave Sir Robin was my favorite part.

“Why would one participate in a war started by Democrats that made pretend they were fighting communism?”

It has nothing to do with a man avoiding military service during his 18 year window, which is now about a 25 year window.

Wars, the Draft, no Draft, non of it has anything to do with enlisting, I hope that he had a medical deferment.

Nobody said you had to be a Vet to support the War. Heck, I would be happy to let the Military decide who the next President is but our Founding Fathers decided otherwise.

Pray for W and Our Troops

“”The Republican rocker feels awful about avoiding the army in the late 1960s and early 1970s, but he believes he has more than made up for it. He says, “Do I feel guilt and embarrassment? Yes. “I wish I’d understood how important America’s fight against our enemies was. “””

I like that, I was hoping that he could make a good answer, does he have any sons?

Sometimes it just seems so discouraging.

Democrats that made pretend they were fighting communism?

Very astute.

It took me years to figure this out, even with firsthand knowledge of the war.

The Rats have consistently protected Communism since before FDR, and their treason is not accidental. Reagan monkeywrenched their plans to the point they had to expand their treason to support Islamic terrorists to continue their plans for America's future.

“Was Vietnam a war that “Washington” decided we were going to lose?”

I was listening to Medved ( I think) and heard that Washington did indeed want to lose the Vietnam war as they were afraid of what China would do. So they kept throwing men into the meat grinder for nothing.

The VC actually offered a peace after the Tet offensive failed but were refused by Washington.

Hard to disagree with Nugent’s assessment of O’bama, Feinswine and the Beastie though....

The ‘Motor City Madman’ never lived in Detroit. Same goes for Eminem.

I grew up seeing Ted Nugent all the time because he lived near my hime between Concord and Hanover Michigan. My cousin dated his first wife Sandra before she died.

You need sources to throw that stuff out, please offer some kind of evidence. The VC were negotiating for North Vietnam, and we refused their surrender?

When Nugent was a speaker at the NRA’s 2005 National Convention in Houston, Texas, he received an enthusiastic reception from the delegates, telling them: “Remember the Alamo! Shoot ‘em! To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want ‘em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot ‘em.”

I went for the one million others who went, and for the 55,000 who came home in bags. Call me crazy-I found that reason enough.

I visited that Vietnam memorial twice in my life, and each time I saw it, I found it no coincidence that it has two walls. The Asian woman who designed it is an absolute genius. To me it shows two fronts; The war on communism and the war on liberalism. It was a war fought upstream every step of the way.

There are war heroes and then there are war heroes. Even though those Vets knew the game was fixed from day one, they still gave all. It is without a doubt THE most important monument in our Nation. It`s just a shame both fronts still stand. The world still hasn`t woken up. The sh*tbags Rats are still taken seriously and the same crap goes on to this day.

Richard Roeper is a hard-core leftist. I don’t recall ever hearing anything about HIS military service.
