ODD this. Considering the writer voted 2 times for a guy who boasted of dodging the draft and organizing Anti Amnerican protests overseas during the Vietnam era.

Well, no one ever said liberals were consistent.

Was Vietnam a war that “Washington” decided we were going to lose?

“Shut up and sing” applies to all singers, regardless of political persuasion.

Is this true? If so, my opinion of Ted just went down about 90%. I know that people change over time, but I would not forgive Clinton for avoiding the draft. I will hold Ted to the same standard.

âShut up and singâ applies to all singers, regardless of political persuasion. That is one of the best statements I have read for a while.

Regardless, Nugent’s descriptions are still accurate. Most military personnel agree with him. Just because he did not serve in the military is irrelevant. Chances are better than 90% that the political hack passing as a journalist didn’t either.

Too tired to look up all the stuff but here is the story as I have heard it..
In 1990 Ted was talking to a Rolling Stone reporter and fed him this crap.
Ted is IIA (deaf in one ear and that IS true).

is all i found:
In a July 15, 1990, Detroit Free Press interview, Nugent crowed about how he managed to dodge the draft. He claims that 30 days before his draft board physical, he disavowed personal hygiene. The last ten days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and with a week to go until the physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether. When the big day came, he had been living in excrement-caked and urine-stained pants.

Wow.
I’m stunned. No reference to Bush avoiding the draft and serving as well??? C’mon, Roeper, get with the program!!
;-)
Wasn’t there rumors last week that Nugent thought about running for governor somewhere? Looks like the MSM tear-down attacks have started!

I don't know. If Ted owns up to it and says he was brainwashed, at the time, by his professors, the media and the other Marxists that permeated society, and if he then says that he has since learned the errors of his ways, I could support him.
