Because it's the right thing to do. And, because it's in our own national interest. I'm not Jewish, and whether American Jews support Israel or not (many do, some don't) doesn't matter very much. I have disagreed with many things the Israelis have done over the years (e.g. the settlements policies in the '70s and '80s), but I can't support the Palestinians or their backers. The 'drive the Jews into the sea' types don't give one much choice who to side with.
The Jewish are becoming blind to the wolves on their borders.... it will be the death of them.
It is only a matter of time if Iran gets a nuke that it will make sure one is detonated in Tel-Aviv.
The worst part is that I think it’s out of our hands, meaning America and our allies. The ball is in Iran’s court and thanks to the woosie way we’ve been forced to deal by the MSM/Lefties they have every reason to think that we won’t do anything. I wonder if the liberals will ever come to realize just how counter-productive their efforts have really been.
The saddest part is that the longer we let it rock along like this the worse the war will be. At least that’s how I see it, but maybe I’m missing something.
Notice in the second paragraph or so how the write refers to the “war-weary Americans” as though somehow we are to blame for the animosity the Islamofascists have for us.
I am convinced there is nothing we can do to avoid a war with Iran other than let them have their way. And even then they would be satisfied only as long as it takes them to develop a delivery system to get their nuclear weapons to us.
I fear the realization of the Islamofascists true intent will come way too late for the liberals to get on the right side in all of this.

I don’t think the post was ridiculous. It is a good point of discussion. I don’t think we should abandon Israel, even if the US Jews do, but do think that it is worthy of discussion.
Our choice is simply this,
we can fight Iran now or we can fight Iran when they have a nuclear weapon. Is that so hard? Hardly.
I try not to hate, but it’s awfully hard sometimes when I hear some the things Hillary and her minions say. There was Sen. Leaky Lehey today telling the world how disappointed he was that Bush and Gonzalez chose to make the AG’s position a political one!
I am convinced that one of these days my head is going to explode from all the anger and frustration I experience anytime they open their mouth!
It’s been just about six years and I swear they have completely forgotten the rage we all felt on 9-11. To them it’s like it never happened.
How long do you think Russia and China will sit back and watch us keep blowing things up ? After we have exhausted out military we will be easy to defeat . We have already given most of our steel to the Chinese ,so what will we make these weapons with ? Clintons made sure the Balkans are muslim ruled and now it looks as if iraq will soon be under sharia laws too [ Iraqs Constitution ] . Does this seem weird to anyone? I have eight draft age grandkids who are mostly females who will have to take up the damn slack !

I always believed that GWB would take care of the "Iran problem" during his last year in office (if Iran refused to back down on developing nuclear weapons).
That way, the wimpy Democruds would be much less able (hopefully anyway) to interfere by cutting funding, etc.
