This ties in with the Wall Street Journal article about that postal worker and his family living in a 1200 sq ft home in LA who donated $200,000 to Hillary and other Democrats in the past 2 1/2 years.

As I said on the other thread, this smells a lot like the scandal that took down CA Secretary of State Kevin Shelley - San Francisco Asian shell donors. Ten bucks and my left nut says some of these people are the same ones.

LA Times is ready to report it.

I guess they figured they could not sweep this one under the rug.

Interesting that this story comes to light at roughly the same time that Idaho Sen. Larry Craig's weird behavior from two months ago also hits the fan.

Gee. I wonder which story will get the most attention.

And stupid Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and the rest of the talk show lemmings will fall for it hook, line and sinker.

Yeah, yeah, I know...mixed metaphors and all that. But dagnabbit, I'm tired of our newsies getting played like Stradvariuses.

Hsu's lawyer confirmed today that his client was the one involved in the California case but said he did not remember pleading to a criminal case nor facing jail time

Takes, "I do not recall" to a whole new level!

WTH? If I was Hillary I would return the money. I doubt she will. The Clintons have a thing for Chinese money. Remember in 96 Clinton took the money from them because he had to defeat evil republicans.

Posted by Solitar on the other thread. Interesting stuff, to say the least!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Excerpt from this 1998 PDF file at senate.gov

Ted Sioeng, His Family, and His Business Interests

"Overseas Chinese Friendship Association - a $10,000 check was written on Sioeng San Wong’s account to the “O.C. Chinese Friendship Ass.” on April 15, 1995. The memo line the check indicates that it was meant as a donation. The Committee could not determine the nature of the donation. The check may have been intended for an organization called the Overseas Chinese Friendship Association. The association was set up at the direction of the PRC’s Communist Party apparatus, specifically, the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (“CPPCC”), and was meant to forge and strengthen ties between the United Front Work Department of the CPPCC Central Committee and overseas Chinese in this country and elsewhere! Dr. Daniel Wong - a $5,000 check was written to Wong on the account of Sundari, Sandra, and Laureen Elnitiarta on February 15, 1996. Wong is a Republican who ran for the California State Assembly.!

"Norman Hsu - a $7,500 check was written on Sioeng San Wong’s account to Friends of Norman Hsu on March 11, 1995. Hsu is a former president of the Chinese-American 90 Association."

As usual, the Clintons' partners is crime get charged and will probably do time, and Hillary skates free.

When are they going to go after the people who accept the illegal funds (Clinton and the Dems) instead of just arresting the donors?

I guess it's really more cursed to give than to receive.

Mr. Hsu, in an email last night wrote: "I have NEVER asked a single favor from any politician or any charity group. If I am NOT asking favors, why do I have to cheat...I've asked friends and colleagues of mine to give money out of their own pockets and sometimes they have agreed."

Lawrence Barcella, a Washington attorney representing Mr. Hsu, said in a separate email: "You are barking up the wrong tree. There is no factual support for this story and if Mr. Hsu's name was Smith or Jones, I don't believe it would be a story." He didn't elaborate.

A Clinton campaign spokesman, Howard Wolfson, said in an email: "Norman Hsu is a longtime and generous supporter of the Democratic party and its candidates, including Senator Clinton. During Mr. Hsu's many years of active participation in the political process, there has been no question about his integrity or his commitment to playing by the rules, and we have absolutely no reason to call his contributions into question."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
