“The argument that ‘he has sex with men but he’s not gay”

The equivalent of Klinton saying he “didn’t inhale”!

It’s like the Diceman said, “There is no in-between, you either suck [....] or you don’t.”

All Craig has to do is become a Democrap, then the press would treat him like a hero.

Then again, being a Democrap is gayer than being a pervert hanging out in mens rooms.

"A Republic can not survive being led by career politicians ...

You could have simply stopped there. It was never intended by our founding fathers and it will eventually be our doom. We are well on the way and gaining speed exponentially, IMO.

That said, it is up to the electorate to end this business of electing the same bastards over and over again.

History has proved itself over and over again, absolute power eventually corrupts, absolutely.

Unfortunately, I don't believe the electorate neither cares, or worse yet has a clue concerning the power we were given by our founding fathers.

I remember writing often and boldly here on this forum back when Whitewater was the reason for being here; "It says much more about us, the electorate, that Bill Clinton was elected, reelected and impeached, than it ever said about him!"

The collective "we" are the problem!

Actually, Mrs. Craig should ask Bill what to do, when married to a “homo”.

Since there were no witnesses to this entire episode...other than the cop himself...the lawyer could easily have beaten this deal. It amazes me that Craig thought he could just walk away and never get attention on this. But to be honest...outside of Idaho...does anyone know this idiot? I don’t remember a single interview on CNN or any network in the past two years with the guy.

Here is what is now left for the Senator:

1. He is done in the next election or sooner.

2. He needs help.

3. He needs to try and make up with the his family.

I think the guy is likely a creep, but I don’t see what the criminal violation is. And if it IS a violation, you bar cruisers better watch your act.

You're absolutely right. That's the problem with these types of "crimes". Craig may indeed be a pervert, creep and/or jerk, but what or who specifically did he "harm", and what specifically is it that makes flirtatious behavior intended to solicit sex acceptable in a bar but unacceptable in an airport bathroom. With all the genuinely dangerous and vicious criminals out there for law enforcement to be spending their time and our money on these morals entrapment policies is itself a moral outrage.

Craig's worst offense is his incredible stupidity. If the scenario is as we have seen it described, the only evidence against him appears to be the word of the cop. All Craig had to do was just deny everything (as a Democrat Senator would have done) and it would have been his word against the cop's. If the police still tried to push it, things would have been messy and unpleasant, but he would have eventually gotten through it.

actually the real science does NOT point to genetics.

Did I say genetics?

For some reason, people around here think "biological basis" means genetic. Why this is, I have no idea.

Now, if you think there is no biological basis, we'll have to disagree. As for the 11th DCA, I am confident that I am more qualified on this subject than a bunch of jurists.

To arrest somebody for foot tapping is pretty bizarre. To call it disturbing the peace is also pretty bizarre.

Maybe the guy is gay, but he certainly didn’t do anything illegal. It would be like arresting a scantily clad gal - and when are they not these days - who happens to walk near where prostitutes tend to hang out.

I can picture someone tapping their foot if they were reading something annoying on their blackberry or cell phone or something.

Then: they’re going to go to court with with collection of odd signals even though there’s no overtly sexual activity or even any clear verbal communication taking place?

I thought homosexual sex is OK now socially, morally, and legally, so why are plainclothes cops still out in public restrooms arresting homos for trying to hook up with each other? Would a guy flirting with girl while waiting at the gate also be breaking some obscure MN law? Prostitution is still illegal in most places, but that profession involves money changing hands.

Non-professional hookups between consenting adults for sexual gratification isn't illegal anywhere in the US these days as far as I know, and if it still is in some unsophisticated bible belt areas the ACLU and the federal courts will soon take care of that oversight.

Don't get me wrong, I believe homosexual sex is an abomination and a sin in God's eyes, and for that matter adultery and sex between unmarried couples is also sin. But if society has decided that anything goes in the realm of sexual gratification between consenting adults, why pick on a select few homosexuals who happen to be Republicans who hold public office? I haven't heard anything about Bawny Fwank being arrested in MA, and I am reasonably sure that he doesn't lead a celibate life.

It can also be that the same sex parent was either absent from the home or never gave the child the love and attention it needed.

I have read this from medical sources (can’t remember where). If you have sources with some scientific authority, post them for me, I will be glad to take a look at them.
