Well it is Wednesday. This year is FLYING.. I want to hold on to summer with a passion & not let the warmth & sun get away.

I recieved this in an email & LOVED it & knew it had to be posted here.

Put together a "little someting" from another email (which some of you prolly got from me yesterday). Seeing these pix took me back a LONG time ago when my son was just a little bundle of talcum poweder, baby oil & funny hair.

Early Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry


Night Moves





I survived my first wild and adventurous fight!
That lasted through the early and waning hours of the Night
With a beginning, that at first glance seemed innocent enough
As I spied the tail of some long, soft, fluffy stuff

Much more plush and plump than what My Pretty One calls, "Thread"
My paws closed around it, unaware of what escapades lay ahead
Gentle tugs began to wrap the stuff slowly around my paws
As I inched forward under the Big Long Chair with just bared claws

Slithering and twisting as the stuff circled around from shoulders to tail
I stretched and pulled and pursued my new quarry without fail
Beyond the Big Long Chair and through many shadowy, Moon lit rooms
Until I found its Body, which was so much smaller than presumed!

The plump little Ball sat idle, as though expecting my arrival
I pounced instantly, without a thought of pleasantries or survival
Rolling and tumbling across both sides of the slick and shiny floor
Until my rival came to an unexpected end near the Kitchen Door

Relishing a victorious Nap after a hard fought battle to defend
My Territory against strange intruders while silently on the mend
Knowing that another battle loomed, but not so sure of "When"?
Only to wake from my Nap and find my plump rival rolled up whole again!

Getting Through

I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints. —Psalm 85:8

Gone are the days when a real person greets you on the other end of a phone call. It seems as though whenever we try to “reach out and touch someone,” we are greeted with a computerized voice.

I’m glad this isn’t true of our Father in heaven. He is always there. No voice-mail boxes, no “press 2 for more grace” and no “call waiting” interruptions. Thankfully, “Call to Me, and I will answer you” (Jer. 33:3) has not been replaced by, “All lines are now busy. Your call is important to Me. Please stay on the line.”

Yet I wonder what kind of access He has to us?

Communication with God is a two-way street. He speaks to us through His Word when we come attentively before Him in prayer and through the clear voice of the indwelling Spirit. He paid a great price to keep the lines open so that we can experience the joy of being still long enough to know that He is God (Ps. 46:10). As my grandmother’s favorite hymn “In the Garden” says:

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known. —Miles

Hi Dolly, Great ‘warm and fuzzy thread’. The Pledge is great and there’s nothing I like better than your dogs in the water, beautiful! Don’t won’t to forget the touching story about the blind dog and Cashew, the cat.....just precious!

Also, your baby’s pictures are terrific. These kids are always our “babies”. Collage is wonderful........

Two little cutesies!

That’s the cutest one yet, Jack. I love it.

The first night we had our little Blueberry (part Siamese with blue eyes), she discovered a throw rug in my bedroom and decided it was an intruder. As tiny as she was, she fought courageously to chase it away. She backed it up against the wall and chased it two feet into the air. It attacked and landed on her head. She fought and fought until both she and the rug were exhausted. To reward her for her bravery, I put her on my bed where she spent the night curled up on the back of my neck, and purred me to sleep.
