We visited recently, and had a great time. Stayed right on the water, downtown, and took the ferry to Bainbridge. Did lots of touristy stuff, ate lots of good food. Got into the Columbia Club and had a few drinks in the early evening of a beautiful day, and the view was simply magnificent.

But yeah, you could tell the city was run by libs, just from the way the place was overrun by “urban outdoorsmen”.

During the 1980 election cycle, I had the honor to work at a fundraiser in Dallas for the Reagan campaign. Being in the Army assigned to Fort Hood at the time, I took some leave so that I wouldn't violate the law against campaigning while in uniform.

It was unpaid volunteer work, but, at the end of the evening, I received an autographed picture of soon-to-be President Reagan. That picture has been framed and prominently displayed on the wall of every office that I've ever occupied.

When I retired in 1994 and was employed by the Civil Service, the picture went up on my wall again. When I was hired into the Civil Service, I declined to join the Union. My office union rep and the head of the union on post made several attempts to get me to join, but I continued to refuse. However, they would always make their efforts either in the hallways or outside my office. Finally, I told them that, if they wanted to discuss it further, it would be done in the privacy of my office or not at all. The union head for the post told me that no one from the union would enter my office because I had a picture of Ronald Reagan on the wall. I told her, "Fine, then don't bring up the union with me again, or I'll go to the authorities on post about union harassment."

From that date on, no one from the union has talked to me about joining or has entered my office for any reason whatsoever.

Couldn't ask for anything more.

I’m pretty sure Jake is solidly pro-life, with exceptions made for his opponents on the field.

Yeah, Matt and Mack help get us to our first Superbowl ever and the Gorbachav admirers in my state can’t deal with these two having a different opinion.

S’Okay, because I liked them before I knew what their leanings were years ago, and still like them. And when we’re winning games this year I guarentee these morons will be spit on if they dare try to stand in the way of another shot at the Superbowl. And if last year showed anything, without Matt healthy and in the game we’re not getting there.

I found a link to a photo of the statue. The figures on the left side of the statue are actually people.

This is definitely worth the jump to see the statue, because its one of those ‘Just Wow’ things.

deep, deep Democratic blue in King County

Blue used to be my favorite color before being abducted by the demonrats. The corruption and vote fraud in King County make Chicago look like Mayberry. They kept producing votes in recount after recount until the created enough to win the Governor's mansion. I am very disappointed in the Seahawks organization for having a single word of "uneasiness". Wankers.

I’m a die hard Cowboys fan. I couldn’t care less if some jackass defensive tackle was the head of Hillary Clinton’s local campaign in Texas.

I’m still a fan.

Don’t sweat it guys. You don’t need that type of fan anyway. Just a smelly hippy that looks like John Kerry if he ever tries to catch a football.

Seattle PI: "Are you still fans of Matt Hasselbeck and Mack Strong after they visited President Bush last week in Bellevue?"

Yes, I am. Now shove it.

Very glad now that I drafted him as my first string quarterback for fantasy football.
