That’s the difficulty, isn’t it? If they have a gun and have already threatened your life, it is reasonable to assume that as long as they are within range of shooting you, they are posing a direct threat.
There have been numerous cases about similar circumstances. It all depends on the perception of the person who is threatened.
that’s happening all over.
a woman who works at cvs near me discovered a mexican breaking into her car at home.
she confronted him. he hit her with a board, breaking her arm, she screamed, and her boyfriend ran out of the house and attacked her assailant.
unfortunately for the boyfriend the altercation had moved from her property to the street, so the police arrested her boyfriend. he spent 2 days in jail before the d.a. decided not to press charges.
meanwhile, in cvs kids come in and shoplift at will. employees are afraid to confront them and do not call the police, because the police do not respond to small matters.
Good reason not to talk o teh cops when they show up. Let the lawyer figure out the story. The robbers aren’t gonna testify and if they do nobody will believe them. And the forensics aren’t gonna mean anything, because people get wounds in the back all the time in a shoot out.
“There was no reason for that. No sympathy from me for either parties.”
You gotta love it. The goblins can do whatever they want, but as long as they can turn their backs and run they’re safe.
Oh...so you have to let them go so they come back and catch you at home and YOU end up the victim. Shoot them all.
DA needs to be run out of town if they prosecute this guy for defending his house and property.
