Once upon a time they did, with skirts far north and barely south.

I was about to say, I remember flying Southwest back in the 70s and this woman would not have been out of place among the stewardesses back then...

I’m just now watching yer Dolphins settle for a field goal instead of trying to put it over the line. That means the score WON’T be 14-7. You see, the 1972 season ended ugly that way for Redskins fans...

Just a couple of thoughts about this issue.
1. I have read numerous comments about this post where Freepers speculate that the reason this woman was thrown off the plane was because she was wearing a mini skirt with no underwear. However, nowhere have I read that Southwest stated that was the reason. If the woman was not wearing any underwear then I think that Southwest would have been justified, but if so, they need to come out and say so.
2. I am not aware that Southwest has an offical dress code for their passengers.
3. If Southwest has such a dress code they have never, to my knowledge, made this known to their customers.
4. Many Freepers have post comments stating the woman was ugly, her clothes trashy, etc., but I think that is all irrelevant. Without any offical policy on passenger dress, made known to their customers, then Southwest should have let the woman fly. From the photos I saw posted on FR her dress was not much different than seen everyday in just about every place.

She wore the waist band of her skirt down as far a possible, and the hem of her skirt up as far as possible, and, when she sat down, those on the plane could see possible.

That skirt made possible a star appearance on the Today show, and the Internet too. She might as well have been naked, and she should be ashamed, but I doubt that’s possible.
