Matt interviewed Kyla Ebbert, a 23-year-old college student who works as a waitress at Hooters. Two months ago, she boarded a Southwest Airlines flight from San Diego to Tucson. Before the flight took off, she was escorted into the jetway by a customer service representative, who asked her to change clothes. She didn't have any other clothes with her -- she had no luggage -- so the customer service rep told her to go home and change, then get a later flight. She said she had an appointment that she couldn't change, so after getting a lecture on appropriate attire, she was allowed to re-board the plane. But once back in her seat, she had to cover her legs with a blanket for the entire flight. Kyla wore the same outfit to the show this morning. At first, when she appeared on the set, it didn't seem like her outfit was so inappropriate. It was clear that her skirt was pretty short, but it didn't seem worthy of getting a lecture from a customer service representative on how to dress. But when she sat down, we learned just how short that skirt was -- when she flashed our national television audience. Yeah, that skirt was short. So there are a lot of questions here. What is appropriate dress for flying? Who should decide what is appropriate? Should airlines have a dress code? And without a dress code, can an airline block someone from flying? Southwest did, in fact, let her take the flight, but apparently not without embarrassing her and making a scene. It seems like unless there was a particular incident or complaint from other customers, then she should have been allowed to fly without any issues. But as we learned this morning, that skirt was indeed pretty short.

i saw a picture of the gal wearing the outfit... the snap at the top of the skirt was at her pelvic area... the waist of the skirt sat lower or as low as the waist on the baggy pants lots of guys wear today, where you can see their disgusting boxers... more than anything, i thought the outfit looked stupid... it made her abdomen look three feet long... out of proportion...

You know, they keep showing the picture where she “covered” up - I’ve yet to see the picture the way she REALLY looked. I read somewhere the stewardess asked her to pull her top down. So, she must have had her top pulled up to just under her boobs. And, I don’t think she had that sweater on, either. She looks pretty ok in the pictures they are now showing, but what did she look like when she boarded the 1st time????

That’s what I find so interesting is that Southwest, of all airlines, would have this hangup.
I once boarded a train in Florence Italy headed for Amsterdam and was happy to find my seat was next to a pretty young single lass. Well, she barely knew any English and I didn’t know any Dutch so conversation was minimal. We just did a bunch of looking and smiling and nodding. Then, as the train left the depot and got out into the sunlight, I realized she had on a see-thru blouse. I quickly realized she had nothing on underneath the blouse. But the fantasy hit a quick ending when I could also notice armpit hair peeking out from under her arms.
