It works. It is just a little slow.

Why doesn’t the Israeli gov. arm “communities” with kassam-like rockets to “protect” themselves.

It’s not as if one would have to take complaints of Israeli aggression seriously when they are only responding “in kind.”

The Government expressly forbids any response to the attacks. Olmert has said publicly that there is little he can do. Here is a taste of what happened in May, this year-

Do the buildings there have steeply pitched, steel roofs with plenty of extra support under them?

I don’t mean to get sidetracked on the injured dog video, but it shows the difference between the Jewish people and the Muslims. The lady in the video is concerned about the dog’s suffering. I don’t know if many Arab Muslims would give it a second thought. Thanks for posting the link to the videos.

The May bombings video show a hole blown through a roof. Looked like wood to me.

You're far too logical. You'd never make it in the State Department.

Muslims do not keep dogs as pets.

They consider them unclean (similar to the way they view pigs).

Pigs cannot be eaten because they are not kosher. Dogs, too, are not kosher. However, while we do not eat pork, based on a biblical prohibition, which would include dogs in the same prohibition, that doesn’t mean that we cannot raise pigs on a farm on a farm or have a dog as a pet. We just can’t consume them.

I was referring to Muslims. From your post I assume you are Jewish.

From what I have read Muslims do not even wish to ride in the same car as a dog.

Well the good news is that Muslims do not like dogs and will not ride with them. If true, then Homeland Security need only place one dog on every commercial flight.

Yes, the expenses would be high. And there's no telling what the enemy will come up with in the future. More below-ground shelters might be a less expensive and better alternative for the future. ...maybe some wedge-shaped (from an end view), reinforced concrete walls topped with fences, close around the perimeters of public buildings (schools, for one) would help those above ground a little in the interim.

Thank you for the reply. I'm not a structural engineer. But buildings there need to be reinforced concrete, if the materials are available (if concrete blocks used, block holes filled with rebar and concrete). Roofs need to be pitched, framed underneath with steel and sheeted with steel. Heavy-mesh screens on the windows--screens that could be opened or popped out from the inside--would help (heavy enough mesh so that fist-sized projectiles might bounce off of them).

My understanding is that those dogs are not what we would consider pets.

They are guard dogs, mean and vicious.

Kept outside and hungry at all times.
