I like neither, especially together.
I love both.Yet I EAT neither.Low fat,mostly veggie diet for me at age 60 and heart fibrillation.
I too fail to see anything racist about the comment ... perhaps it may have been a bit of stereotyping, but the dictionary has been thrown out the window apparently. If any race even mentions another race these days, someone will say that it is 'racist'.
Just a day or two ago, right here on FR, someone accused a Memphis pastor of being 'racist' against himself. Whoa.
Add me to that absolutely refuses to watch list as well. I got a feeling a good chunk of ratings were lost when they hired the K.O. dumbass. I bet Al Michaels wasn’t too happy, he tends to be apolitical, by necessity, but when he leans, it tends to be towards sanity.
It can be fun to vent to these people. No need to be nice, they hate you already.

Sixty odd Free Republic comments complaining about a fluff minded sports commentator speaking what can best be termed “obscure political incorrectness”. They lament the fact that he has not been called to task by the thought police.

Plus Memo to NBC: That was the WORST half-time show I have seen in several decades of watching football.
The commentators phoned in their inane comments and acted as if they were even more anxious than the viewers to get the show over with.
No one set up the highlights, not even bothering to mention the names of the opposing teams, setting the situation for the play, describing how the play developed or anything. Just a few seconds of a guy carrying the ball or whatever.
It stunk. Bad.

Could you at least explain the comment better than that? Did Ralph Wilson (owner of the Bills) make his money in the chicken-and-waffle house business? There’s a fast food restaurant called Waffle House, and they serve a variety of food besides waffles — including some chicken dishes, I think.
I often wondered how they computed the number of possible burgers they serve...22 million or so as I recall.
Some years ago, I want to say some college athletic department tried to invent a statistic for defensive players called “the waffle.” As I recall, it involved two defensive players crunching one offensive player at the same time.
Hmmm...”the chicken” could be an offensive player running our of bounds to avoid tackle...
So maybe the Bills are a “chicken and waffle house.” But somehow, I think I’m on the wrong track.
