I quit watching that idiot box called TV YEARS ago. I don’t bother at all . Sports have become the game of rock star , drug infested ego maniacs so I quit that as well. I have better things to do . From what I hear TV is at the bottom of the barrel these days , worse than ever.

I had forgotten that Ralph Wilson Stadium was once called “Rich Stadium” after Rich Foods, Inc. However I do not see that chicken and waffles are among their leading product lines.

I think this is the web page of the company in question:

http://www.richs.com/

It’s headquartered in Buffalo — I did see BBQ chicken but I had to dig for it. There weren’t any waffles at all. It looks like desserts are featured on their home page.

Drinking Coffee  Actually it's originally from Thailand.  I just did a quick google and the one you are speaking of is a brand name of Louisiana hot sauce that I forgot all about until I saw a picture of the bottle.  If you like any kind of hot sauce, Tabasco, McIlhenry etc., you'd like Sriracha. It's hotter than most others, but has much more flavor.  28 oz bottle about $4.

I’m boycotting NBC and PMSNBC!!!

Oh, wait, I never watch them anyway, so how can I boycott?? I guess I just tell them I’m boycotting and how do they know the difference?

Okay, how about this. Rush Limbaugh says the same comment, and he is GONE the next day. You may not think the comment is racist, but why in the hell should our side give them a pass? Hold them to the same standard. Besides, why don’t we do a little substituting and see. What if Olbermann had said the Buffalo Bills player “played for chitlins and collard greens?” I think everyone would see that as racist, and it’s no different.

NBC is apparently trying to make olberman part of their football package as part of their far-left agenda. I can see a couple of problems with that, as commies don’t watch football, and Americans who do watch football hate commie punks like olberman. Besides, he’s already failed as a sportscaster, so whose stupid idea was this?

Write NBC and complain.

Keith Olbermann just referred to a black player on the Buffalo Bills of playing for a chicken and waffle house.

I think the use of waffle saved him for that is Belgium waffle had he said Pancake there would have been no wiggle room!:)

And the fact it was Buffalo Bills also saved him because that is where they started the Bufflalo wings!

aka SickyWings!:)

Some clarifications:

1) I believe Roscoe is referring to Roscoe Parrish who was the Bills’ punt returner that scored the touchdown.

2) Fried chicken is, stereotypically, a food of preference for black Americans (though obviously many whites enjoy it too, including me). Nonetheless, references to fried chicken and watermelon have been seized upon by liberals in the past as being offensive hate speech aimed at black Americans. Overly sensitive? You betcha but if they are going to make that distinction, they should be uniform in its application. Clearly, it is one of those terms that the Left judges differently if spoken by someone they like versus someone they don’t (see “nappy-headed”).

(On a side note, white basketball legend Rick Barry was villified by liberals after a picture of his black broadcast partner Bill Russell was shown during a CBS basketball game. “Look at that big watermelon grin he has,” remarked Barry at the picture of Russell as a youth. While he wasn’t immediately removed, I believe Barry was not renewed by CBS the following year in the aftermath of the outcry over his “racist” comment.)

3) Cosell’s comment was “little monkey” referring to smallish Alvin Garrett of the Redskins. The race-baiters went after Cosell too, which Cosell later described as one of the most upsetting episodes of his career. It was, he said, a term of affection he used on his grandchildren. Anybody who knew what a bleeding heart liberal he was and defender of Muhammad Ali even when that was extremely unpopular given Ali’s refusal to serve when drafted into the military, certainly could not have accused Cosell of being prejudiced against blacks.

(another side note: When Chris Berman of ESPN used to shout “Look at that little Meggett run!” when narrating highlights of ex-Giant and ex-Patriot Dave Meggett, he was immitating Cosell’s “little monkey” call.)

Now that you have the background, carry on with your discussion.

I don’t need to “carry on”. NBC has lost me permanantly. The only shows they had that I liked were “Earl” and “The Office”.

I meant carry on with the discussion, not carry on with watching NBC which you may refuse to do at your own discretion.

IMO, the reason NBC is putting Olbermann on this show is because he obviously cost them a pretty penny when they hired him away from Fox Sports and have not received much return on investment with his loser MSNBC program that nobody watches. NBC is just trying to lose less of their shirts on his contract than they already have.

Nothing whatsoever will happen to racist Keith Overbite. The democrat party needs him in 2008.

Unlike the very liberal, but virulently anti-Clinton Imus. Hillary gave the “kill” order to her cadre of media character assassins.
