Keith Olbermann just referred to a black player on the Buffalo Bills of playing for a chicken and waffle house.
Good thing his liberal credentials give him a free pass.
soul food at its best, including fried chicken and waffles
Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘n Waffles is a Hollywood, California-based soul food restaurant chain founded by Herb Hudson, a Harlem native, in 1976. It is best known, as the name states, for serving chicken and waffles, both together and separately, although they do offer more traditional menu items as well.
A fictional version of the restaurant is featured prominently in the 1988 film Tapeheads.
In 2004, a comedy film was released by the same name starring Glenn Plummer, Anthony Johnson, and Clifton Powell.
Could be because he gained his original notoriety as a key anchor on ESPN. Personally, I think he is a jerk.
Sunday night is NFL on radio night here for me (when there’s a game I particularly care about, that is . . . )
I’m watching other channels until kickoff myself.
I’m not even watching NBC. I’m watching baseball on ESPN.
Remember when Cosell called a small Washington receiver a “speedy litle jackrabbit”?
lol
His career faded into the sunset.
The Bible calls that the ‘scourge of the mouth’.
Time to call NBC headquarters and demand the bastard be fired!!!!!
Oops.
litle=little
I dont know that, that is rascist.
Anyhow, I love chicken and waffles
Keith is another lib coated in teflon!
actually the Cosell call was “look at that little monkey go.”
Soooooo obvious.
Costas thinks he the smartest guy who ever lived when it comes to commentating on sports, and if you do not believe that, just ask him. Tiki Barber thinks that when he was on the Giants that he was so smart he should have been the NFL’s first player coach. Chris Collingsworth may be a lot of things but humble is not one of them. Guys who have any length of career as a wide receiver are anything but humble. And to this mix, some idiot executive adds the most repulsive know-it-all on the face of the planet. They needed some diversity in the form of humility. Oh, I forgot sports and show business is not about humility nor sportsmanship. It is about condescending snide remarks and in your face ridicule. Chuck Barris and his Gong Show panels had more class the Bobby Costas and this bunch of arrogant bozoes, who are so much in love withthemselves, that there sexual preference is not hetero, homo, or bi, but clearly nothing more than the purest form of Onanism.
These comments were NOT racist. They could only be so if Rush Limbaugh had said them.
jackrabbit?
I don’t see whats racist about that either.White folks love chicken and waffles too!
It's a southern thing, you wouldn't understand.
I'm in the north so I don't understand either........
