A good chance to see Ron outside the debate format. Not good.

Ron Paul is despicable. It's am extreme Pat Buchanan isolationist, we deserved it routine. And frankly, I think the media is eating it up because he is an anti-war republican candidate.

After seeing some of the dem leftos at the Petraeus hearing today, I wish to heck someone of stature would call out all these extremists. We have lots of these on the Dem side who should have been embarrassed out of the US Congress years ago.

Good God Help Us, imagine if people like Ron Paul and Wexler actually get power here?

“He didn’t support it 6 years ago either. As I recall reading recently, his staff had to push him into it and may have threatened to resign en masse if he voted against it.”

He gave a speech against it recommending instead Letters of Marque and Reprisal as the most appropriate response.

“It’s am extreme Pat Buchanan isolationist, we deserved it routine.”

There is an element of that but Ron is much more a ‘Lew Rockwell’ isolationist. I would have loved O’Reilly to ask him who he feared the most, Al Qaeda or his own government?

I have Tivo. I just backed it up and listened to it sentence by sentence. This is what the nutjob said:

"It's our policy of preemptive deliberate invasions of foreign countries and occupying these countries that has jeopardized our safety. This blowback principle is what caused 911 and we have to come to realize this."
Ron Paul—certifiable nutcase and nationally renowned idiot

He blames America for 911 and there are FReepers who support him!?

O’Reilly miscast his guest tonight. It should have been Duncan Hunter, who gave a terrific prologue speech at General Petraeus’s hearing today.

As I said in the other thread (before it got locked as a duplicate of this), I think that at this point, the main (maybe only) reason he's still invited to debates and on the news shows is to poke sticks at the loon and see if they can coax or provoke him to make even more outrageous statements.

In other words, he's the sideshow freak at the GOP circus and the media keep tossing peanuts into his cage.

I’m not a big fan of O’Reilly. I don’t like seeing people pile on Paul either. That being said, it seemed to me that O’Reilly asked the questions I would have, and that Paul was his own worst enemy in this exhange.

Quote by Ron Paul referring to Iran - "They are acting Logically and Defensively."

He went on to say he does not fear them either and he does not support the Afghanistan war currently.

I am not going to defend RP but he may be describing how America would respond if we are attacked. I am at a point I am scratching my head on this one.

One less ice-cube-in-Hell candidate to waste future debate time on.
