Let us not forget, Olson was key in Bush winning his first term.

I can already hear the thunder of the Bush-bashers on my trail. To all of you I say, would we have been better off with Gore or Kerry? If that’s what you think, you’re too far gone to be helped.

“Olson successfully represented presidential candidate George W. Bush in the Supreme Court case Bush v. Gore, which effectively determined the final result of the contested 2000 Presidential election.”

I’ll never forget watching Brit Hume announce her death on the afternoon of Sept. 11.
that when I started to realize what had happened. Hope Ted get Attorney General , he deserves it.

To illustrate...what “investigations” into border policy or nafta superhighway was JOHN ASHCROFT appointed to stop?? If TED OLSON is nominated, what “investigations” into border policy or nafta superhighway will he be expected to stop?? And were, or will, THEY be appointed in order to further prosecute border agents?? President Bush is the same as he was when Ashcroft was picked and he’s the same if Olson is selected.

Is there something in particular about Gonzalez? The same President would have picked all three, and by your logic(?) had the same need for each one to do what you claim. Maybe the Hispanic name and identity bugs you. Naaawwwww, couldn’t be THAT.

Could it?????

Judging from your about page you've got no room to complain. Your profile is very nearly the exact description of her and her best friends. I didn't say I wanted Hillary, just that I didn't want any Republican but Fred.

If Rudy, Mitt or McCain is the nominee, I'm voting Independent. If that action by myself and a million other conservatives gives the election to Hillary. So be it.

Whatever it takes to awaken the GOP before the country is destroyed. That is something in which I will not directly participate. I refuse to give my vote to a RINO who will act like a RAT and reduce me to serfdom.

I still find it difficult to imagine that the anti-rudy clan could be so adamantly against him when the alternative is hillary.

That's just it: We see Rudy not as an alternative, but rather as a mirror image. Read what I said to The Wizard about RINO's acting like RATs.

Olson doesn't stand a chance. So who is next in line on the short list?

President Bush knows this but it's a nice in your face move.

I offer to put myself up for the post, though I have no law degree and no qualifications. But I would go down to DC at my own expense just for the thrill of making a statement to the Senate judiciary committee telling all the members exactly what I think of them and where they should go.

How great of a fantasy is that? ;)

Isn’t Teddy K on that committee? Imagine how great it would be for someone to get in front of his committee and say the senator should have been sent to prison for what he did to that young woman in 1969. Instead thanks to squishy liberal thinking he is a powerful senator who gets to sit in judgment on other people who are moral and decent.

You can blame the liberal media only so much. For the better part of 40 years the people of MA have foisted this outrage on America.

Not only will HilLiary try but they all will. Remember they think President Bush stole the election and Ted Olsen is the one who got this stopped

I'd forgotten about that. Olson represented Bush before the Supreme Court after the 2000 Florida election mess. No way the Dems will consider him.

Ted Kennedy equals pork a plenty to his state. That's what matters, isn't it? Still, I think the clinton duo is much more dangerous to our country than Teddy.

I would love to see Ted Olson as AG but I know it will never happen. The rats are getting their knives out to use against Ted Olson as we speak.

And when are the dumbs going to come out with a statement like”he can’t be given the position because he can’t be neutral to terrorists?”

>>What is his involvement with Pollard?

If he HAD A hand in putting that piece of filth away, I’d say it raises him in my estimation.<<

>>Olson had also gained notability by acting as attorney for convicted spy Jonathan Pollard while he was in private practice. <<

He should have been given the gig before Senor Alberto got it.

The alternative is Hillary? I must have missed when the primary elections were abolished and Rudy already received the GOP nod by acclaimation. Last time I checked, there are nearly 10 "alternatives" to Hillary we could run.

Ted's a fine choice but would he choose to serve as the AG now?

I wouldn't blame him one scintilla if he declined such an offer.

Well wishes on his birthday and I hope he knows his murdered wife Barbara (Freeper BKO) is remembered by many on this date.

For me, this is long in coming. I hoped Ted would have taken over the helm after John Ashcroft.

How does he stand on sanctuary cities? For example, will he go after a place like San Francisco for instituting regulations that support illegal immmigration? That I believe is a federal crime and there should be federal remedies.
