Its all politics. And I wasn’t the one who linked Ted Olson with Rooty Toot.

>>>>>>So you’re saying You’d rather have Hillary than Rudy?

Never said that. I won't vote for either liberal. But you're free to.

"Will Hillary try to torpedo this nomination because he's Barbara Olson's husband?"

Not only will HilLiary try but they all will. Remember they think President Bush stole the election and Ted Olsen is the one who got this stopped.

This thread isn’t about Rudy. It’s about Ted Olsen.

You're SO right about that. Bush Derangement Syndrome over on DU seems to have morphed into Rudy Derangement Syndrome over here on FR.

Ted Olsen is a fine choice for AG, and I hope the announcement is made today.

I’m voting to whoever we nominate.

So you’re saying You’d rather have Hillary than Rudy?

I refuse to vote to cut my own throat, deliberately. If that means we get Hillary by default....welll....yup. Better the Devil I know.

If Rudy is the nominee I have to say that my own party has walked away from me and I'll be forced to join other folks I respect as an Independent. 3rd Parties never work, except as a spoiler for the group they originally left. That said, I guess the GOP will just have to wake up, before it implodes.

Put America Ahead! VOTE FOR FRED!

Ted Olsen supports Rooty for Prez.

They are long-time friends from the Reagan administration. They worked together in the Reagan justice department. It is hardly surprising that Ted is supporting his former colleague.

Ted is a man of enormous intellect, strength, and decency. I would be in favor of his nomination even if he were supporting John McCrazy.

Well, that was a better response than ReaganMan offered. I still find it difficult to imagine that the anti-rudy clan could be so adamantly against him when the alternative is hillary.

That was Johnny Sutton. Pure and simple. If Gonzalez had tried to either boost those prosecutions or cut them off, his name would have been mud.

Now, why don’t you tell us EXACTLY what investigations Gonzalez could have cut off into “open borders” or “Nafta super highway”. Those are policy matters by whatever name anyone wants to call them. They aren’t crimes. Unless, like the Dems and Libs, your angst is to criminalize political and policy disagreements.

You’re just wrong on the facts, but that doesn’t stop you from taking wild rhetorical swings to vent your spleen, which never gets vented, it just endlessly spews.

I know they’re old friends. That doesn’t mean I’m obligated to support a liberal. And McCain doesn’t worry me half as much as Rooty Toot does. But Olson isn’t backing McCain, he’s backing a gun grabbing, abortionist swine for prez.

I first heard this on Fox News Sunday when Chris Wallace brought it up to Diane Feinstein. He asked her if she thought the Dems on the Judiciary Committee would consider him. Her response was something along the lines of “All I can say is if it’s him - he’ll get a fair hearing”.

Yeah Right!!!!!!

His late wife, Barbara was a wonderful person.

Yes, indeed! We still miss BKO here on FR!

I shared the view of those others whose first thought upon hearing about Gonzales resignation was - Ted Olson!

Of all those who died on 9/11, Barbara Olson was the only one I really felt I 'knew' - Her loss personalizes that attack for me.

Thanks, Freedon Poster.
I agree, this is about Ted Olsen, and he would be a great AG.

Rudy is open borders, Bush is open borders......Olson is for Rudy, which tells me he is sorely lacking in judgement.
Good fit for Bush though.

What is his involvement with Pollard?

If he hand in putting that piece of filth away, I’d say it raises him in my estimation.
