Mitt Romney is continuing his pattern of being up on the air first in key early voting...
But Mr. Romneys campaign is focused on doing well in the Sunshine State as well.
They have built one of the states most elaborate ground operations and see the state as the all-important doorway into Feb. 5. Even with victories in Iowa and New Hampshire, stumbling badly in Florida could stymie any momentum leading into Super Duper Tuesday.
The ad that Floridians will see is Mr. Romneys Energy spot, which features him jogging and flashes through his experience as governor of Massachusetts, running the Olympics and in the private sector. The ad debuted in Iowa and New Hampshire recently and was also introduced in South Carolina.

I’m not a Romney supporter (though I will of course if he’s the nominee) but he DOES have a very positive campaign theme, something the Democrats simply can’t bring themselves to attempt. For them it’s always midnight, and it’s raining, and the mule just died, and the baby is crying, and grandma’s in bed with an infection, and the cupboard’s bare, and...
Romney has more “energy” than any Governor in the history of the United States.
After all, no one else has EVER implemented gay marriage, homosexualized the schools and the courts, signed a permanent “assault” weapons ban, and put in place socialized medicine, complete with taxpayer-funded abortions. All in only ONE four year term!
What a guy!
Don’t make me take a wrecking ball to that “implemented gay marriage” nonsense again. ;)
Or better yet, how’s that lawsuit coming that you were going to launch against Mass for handing out illegal marriage certificates without legislative authority?
Dude, I don’t like the marriage thing any more than you do, but at least be honest about the problem.
But wait... there’s more...
How ‘bout Romney’s entire central political strategy of attacking Fred... for having an attractive wife... and for being half his age (nevermind that would make Fred 82 years old)...
AND...
...for having DATED women...
AND...
...for MAYBE having had sex when he WASN’T married !
*GASP*
Can the free world survive without Precious Romney ?
Tune in next week as our fearless RINO leader attacks Fred’s kids for being “too cute”...
AND...
...for being potty trained !
Same RINO time. Same RINO station.
I live in Boston, and Romney was fine as governor, but this thing makes him seem like a messiah, which he wasn't.
Ever have that not-so-fresh feeling ?
I hope Romney's not going to campaign against Thompson based on Romney's family being good-looking and wanting to insure 45 million people.
I keep looking at Romney--I know one of his campaign staff--and reading the reaction to him from his supporters, listening to his fans, and I keep wondering, "What am I missing?" because I just don't see the appeal other than he's good-looking and his family is good-looking.
How about a compromise--Thompson for president, and Romney goes into acting?
Don’t you know, Romney is so pure of heart that when he has a bowel movement, it comes out Godiva.
Hey, he'd make a great successor to David Leisure as Joe Isuzu. The resemblence is uncanny.
I sit here (I live in Boston and right now am working in Cambridge) and wonder--if he was so incredible, why didn't he run for re-election? Answer: Because he would have lost.
The people who gush about Romney the most don't seem to know much about him prior to his getting in the race.
So I’m guessing you don’t care for Romney?
The appeal of Romney is pretty simple. There’s not a candidate in the field who is as pro-business, as pro-growth, and as right on the social issues and the border. Period.
He’s produced results wherever he’s gone—from academics to private enterprise (over and over and over again), to running international events to runing a state. He exudes energy. He’s quick in an interview. He’s diplomatic. Positive. As bright as any candidate I’ve seen running.
Mitt Romney is going to be our next President.
And as an aside, I fail to see the appeal of Thompson outside of his voice and his mannerisms. You claim you know Romney being in Mass. I voted for Thompson and was represented by him as a Tennesseean. Not voting for him in the Primary.
A difference of opinions, I guess.
Brutal - and funny!
I’ll tell you, even if he ran and lost, we at FR would have a bit more respect for his having died with his boots on. Notice you never hear any badmouthing of fmr. Gov. Ehrlich in MD. He had some RINO tendencies, but he put up a good fight against an execrable opponent from the Mayor of the hellhole of Bawlamer.
I’ve known Romney for 13 years, and was up there during his Senate campaign (however briefly at the end). I knew he was a con artist, but understood that rodents enjoy being lied to. I figured if a few slick falsehoods would help him depose the Fat Fark from High Anus Port, what the hey ? But his pulling that same bullcrap schtick on us as Republicans with his thinking he’s actually qualified to be President ? No dice.
I don't think so, and it's foolish to make such a prediction now--though it speaks to your apparent belief in wishing and feeling over logic.
You know nothing about his time here in Massachusetts, where he was so "successful" he wasn't going to win re-electionm so he didn't run.
He certainly LOOKS good while he's giving interviews and such, which I suppose is the appeal for some. Your campaign read above is nice enough but light on facts. I LIKE Romney and know for a fact he's very smart, but so are a lot of folks. In what he was able to do in MA, as opposed to what he couldn't re; gay marriage, he denied local officials the ability to deny licenses for gay marriage, and also changed his mind about eliminating an office for "gay youth" in favor of one for all. It's not such a big deal for me, but it is for some:
http://robertpaine.blogspot.com/2006/06/governors-new-clothes-how-_115059438390558628.html He's had the same effectiveness as W in terms of working with a Democrat congress--zilch. I won't go into his ridiculous healthcare thing again.
