Senator Clinton Questions General David Petraeus Committee Hearing
clinton.senate.gov ^ | September 12, 2007

Senator Clinton: I want to thank both of you, General Petraeus, Ambassador Crocker, for your long and distinguished service to our nation. Nobody believes that your jobs or the jobs of the thousands of American forces and civilian personnel in Iraq are anything but incredibly difficult.

But today you are testifying about the current status of our policy in Iraq and the prospects of that policy. It is a policy that you have been ordered to implement by the president. And you have been made the de facto spokesmen for what many of us believe to be a failed policy.

Despite what I view as your rather extraordinary efforts in your testimony both yesterday and today, I think that the reports that you provide to us really require the willing suspension of disbelief.

So, Clinton called General Patraeus a liar on Tuesday - and she wants to lead the Armed Forces of the United States?

No, the report requires the willing suspension of normal partisan Dim’rat politics.

Hey Hillariously,

When the hell were YOU ever in the military?

What do YOU know about things military?

You are an ignoramous of the highest and most dangerous sort.

And you are a flaming idiot to boot.

"Despite what I view as your rather extraordinary efforts in your testimony both yesterday and today, I think that the reports that you provide to us really require the willing suspension of disbelief."

If the 'Pubbies were on their toes, this is the statement that could be used as a noose to hang the Hildebeast. Imagine the imagry of the Hildebeast on one side of the screen, pants suit and all. The other side of the screen, General Patraeus, in full dress uniform. This statement would then scrolling across the images and be credited to her Thyness. I think that would pretty much hang the witch in most folks eyes......

Her political tin ear routinely overrides her advisors, including her husband.

Its one of those things we can count on.

Unbelievable. I thought Clinton is running for POTUS. IMHO, that type of non-response to a voter doesn’t even qualify her for dogcatcher.

How in the world can anyone in the military support this witch? Clinton consistently displays the utmost contempt for our armed forces. She is a disgrace.

This is the canned reply I get from any Democrat I have sent email to. Yes, they do represent me, particularly when they are running for the presidency or are chairman of a Senate committee. Makes me angry!!!!!!!!!!!!

clintoon used the military to deflect attention away from her hubby’s peccadilloes. She should never be POTUS. She’s a fraud, a liar, a thief, ethically-challenged morally lacking POS.

That’s why I posted it...

Thank you, kindly....

Question is, do any of the 'Pubbies have the cajones to act on it? It's hard to believe something like this being laid in your lap and not acting on it, especially for a POTUS candidate. It's not like it happens every day. Then again, I don't believe this current crop of 'Pubbies collectively has the cajones to act on it.....

THIS is why we need to unite as Republicans and fight the enemy, not each other.

Remember that she and Bill 'abhor' the military.

Someone will, I hope, when the time is right.

Another unbelievable part of this Clinton train wreck, (at least to moi) is that Clinton just said that the surge is “apparently working” when she addressed the VFW Convention on August 20th of 2007 - that was what, 3 weeks before the General’s report?

With obvious flip-flops and blunders like these, it certainly makes the Pubbies job much easier, lol.

I suspect that, in her psychopathic mind, everyone is a liar. After all, she lies so readily and constantly, someone doing otherwise is inconceivable.

Rush nailed it today:

Not one Democrat asked General Petraeus what they could do to help our forces win in Iraq!

That includes Senator Clinton.

As another poster pointed out on another thread “willing suspension of disbelief” is a phrase often used by readers of fiction. See here:

So do it again using a NY address.

Here’s one that should work (pulled entirely at random):

Anything that Hillary Clinton says requires more than willing suspension of disbelief, it requires the listener to be high on mind-altering drugs.

Res ipsa loquitur, the thing speaks for itself.

With obvious flip-flops and blunders like these, it certainly makes the Pubbies job much easier, lol.

And, it always makes me wonder why so many on the right fear this woman. Clearly, she has only two core beliefs, her belief in her own quest for power and her belief that Marxist Socialism is the route that she will take to achieve that power. If you look at everything else, she's just another shallow political hack. I used to think she was the brains behind Hillbillery, but I've since realized she's really not that bright. Devious, yes, bright, no. She chooses to personally destroy people because she cannot argue from a factual standpoint. Intellectual debate supported by facts will end her quest and if the 'Pubbies will really nail her, like Rudy's ad, and keep doing it, I seriously doubt she'll win the nomination. Imagine, a future without the Clinton's.......
