You guys need to check this out. I saw it over on DIGG, but the folks there were totally perplexed, or even maddened by it. I like to see some comments from the Freeper crowd. Can somebody post it to DU? They will also be puzzled or maddened by it.

I guess I'm one with the perplexed crowd, though I'm not mad. It looks like something that could be posted on any number of One World Government web sites.

Of course, it's late, and I may not be grasping the point...

I’m perplexed. Realist world view? Sarcasm showing human nationalism? Is it the fact that Utopia is smaller than both Reason and Hedonism? When will the War on Poverty end?

It’s very interesting.
Naturally the negative territory is the most abundant.
I like the placement of the Sea of Lenin.
And also Industry.

Gulf of Election Promises is clever.

I also like how Treason borders Gluttony in the land of Hedonism.
Obviously where Michael Moore resides.

I like the placement of the Sea of Lenin.
(Between Tyranny and Fool's Paradise.)

I think it’s bizarre. I don’t know why anyone would purchase that.

I found it perplexing that they made “Reason” so large. After all, it’s a rare item and often misconstrued for self-delusion. “Reason” should have been the smallest island on the map (right next to an even smaller one called common sense)!

It is a fascinating commentary. Too bad one can’t quite make out some of it though.

LOL! I think it’s great. Wish the image was clearer. Some neat/funny stuff, like between Tranquility and Dreams is Babar’s Kingdom. Workers Paradise is appropriately situated in Poverty. Fascinating. I don’t know why anyone would be maddened by it, it’s just this guy’s vision, much like a painting or book. I think it’s very creative.

You’ll find that liberals find it very disconcerting. All their values are down on the big island, while all the things they hate are either in Wisdom or Reason. Just makes them mad. I too saw where workers paradise is on the Poverty penninsula... Perfect

Well, if you look closely, Reason may be large, but it hasn’t got much and seems rather dry. If you’ll note, Bureaucracy is there with Law. That takes up alot of empty space ;^)
Wisdom, on the other hand, is smaller, but full of interesting places, with lots of lakes, and just generally looks like a better land mass to me. Wisdom also has Freedom & Justice, Faith and Eros (Love) (although be careful since Eros is close to Lust). One could definitely spend a long time reading that map, and debating the placement of various things.

I'd be interested in the detail from one area of the map (e.g. Pandemonium). Is such available?

Actually, it appears to explicitly critize One-Worlders. The smallish island “The World State” is in the northeast corner, just east of the larger island of “Fool’s Paradise”, across a narrow strait from the desert, “Land of Babel”.

It actually bears more than a passing resemblance to John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress from The City of Destruction to the Celestial City.

See, I'm more than just a pretty face...
