I have this great belief that the Air and naval campaign against the terrorist regime in Iran will occur before President Bush term is over.

To all

I am sorry but I think us striking Iran before Bush leaves office would be a terrible mistake.
We as a nation don’t have the political will to weather the international & national political firestorm that would be created by conducting that strike. (Even though from a pure national and world security stand point it would be the correct thing to do!)
How can we think about doing this when so many of us are so immature toward Iraq, Afghanistan & the War on Terror in general.
Unfortunately I think more civilian blood will have to be shed before the necessary will is there. The historical truth that no one wants to admit to, is this is a conflict that started in 600 AD and the issue as to which world-view will dominate has yet to be finalized. Western complacency and cold war politics breathed new life into militant Islam.
Cold war politics are gone but now replaced by Western intellectual nihilism. Nihilism is not the ideological basis to defend civilization.

Is MoveOn.org’s headquarters on that list?

Every passing day decisive military action is further delayed on taking out the terrorist instigating & exporting dictatorships of Iran and Syria - more of our troops will be murdered by Iranian and Syrian terrorist agents lurking in Iraq.

Action should have been taken after the capture of Saddam.

They need to keep at it. I know there are more targets than 2000 targets. We could cover those in the first couple of days or we could just upsize and declare one big target and a couple of missiles. That way we could reduce the number of planners needed. /sarc maybe

Whilst we’re at it,

Please include a certain peanut farm in Plains GA on the bomb hit list,

As this particular nut farmer was the one that began all the tensions, and unresolved problems with Iran!

This scenario could arise once it was apparent that diplomatic efforts with the country were hopeless.
Germany's unwillingness to impose further sanctions on Iran could make that apparent.
When Iran would be internationally denounced for its interference in Iraq, the US could conduct cross border raids on Iranian training camps and bomb factories.
I don't think there will be any need for, or any waiting around for, any *further* international denouncing of the mullahcracy.
Once the military and para-miliary bully thugs are removed, the populace will take care of the rest.
Well said, FARS, and thanks for the ping.

To FARS: "Ya know,.. if any of this was true, there’s a major security problem."
You are absolutely correct SandRat. Either that are there have been agreements to post such things.

It has to be a foregone conclusion that Iran learned from what Isreal did to Hussein’s nuke program. The key targets are likely widely scattered and well protected (i.e. buried).
