"We have to prepare for the worst, and the worst is war,"Actually, the WORST is living under tyranny and living in fear of destruction by tyrants.

It is hugh. Guess France isn’t involved in an oil for food scam with Iran.

"We have to prepare for the worst, and the worst is war," That's the French problem. The worst is not war. The worst is surrender.

I am all for whacking Iran.
But shed some light on what international law says they cannot have nuclear weapons?
How did that law allow US, Britain, Soviets (Russia), China, France, Israel, India, Pakistan and perhaps others to have nuclear weapons?
I guess I’m interested in the legal history.
Both times Iraq got in trouble, there were documented breaches of international law.
What gives for Iran?

For an extended ground war, perhaps. But if an effective surgical strike is what is required, then it's Israel, who does it FOR America and the rest of the civilized world.

Didn’t Iran sign the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty?

Yes they did. That’s the international law they’re violating.

Try this quote for timeliness!!!
War is an ugly thing. but it is not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has not chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
