Fred Thompson must be the luckiest guy in American politics he doesn't yet have a platform available on his web site, skips debates, waits for months before announcing under the assumed role of testing the waters, records videos on his web site and somehow manages to bring in impressive support from the American people.

“LOL!! Thompson skips debates! There hasnt been a debate since he declared his candidacy.”
Do you think Fred will be at today’s/tomorrow’s (depending on your time zone) debate?

Never mind, I already know. :)
I like having the luckiest man in American politics as a choice for president..
Vetting is vetting and this dog has not even begun to hunt!
That’s the “also-rans” and “wannabes” debate. Have fun!

Google is helpful, but I think the Bio was enough...
Foreign Affairs is CFR’s Main Publication. Members only.”
ROFLMAO... Any ‘peon’ can gander at this mag on the book store racks or the local library.
Or you can subscribe, but its only useful if you need a cure for a sleep disorder ..zzzzzzzzzzz.
But seriously, Romney’s article is an excellent exposition. Other candidates in the past have done similar essays, speeches but his is the most in-depth one about foreign policy that I’ve seen for the 2008 contenders. I give it an “A-” if not an “A”.
Mine is rapier fencing. Since you issued the challenge, I guess that makes choice of weapons mine. Do you prefer off hand dagger, or solo spada?
Only members can publish...
Even I stated in an earlier post I had used the damn thing.
Sheesh....
“Thats the also-rans and wannabes debate. Have fun!”
It’s the debate that the Dem presidential candidates refused - I think you might know them: Hillary, Obama, Edwards, et al, as well as the GOP frontrunners.
It’s not a mystery that they’re all on the same page - the Dems and GOP frontrunners.
I’m actually disappointed in Fred. I thought he was better than Rudy McRomney. Well, maybe he is, but not that much.
Yup...
That was the point of my excerpt post.
Only MEMBERS can publish.
I guess I should have been clearer...
So what? The whole CFR Fear factor thing is a tin-foil-hat-disorder. The CFR is just a talking shop of some elites and to claim otherwise is nutty. Now that we know Fred T. Mitt R., Tony Snow, William F Buckley and many other conservatives are in CFR, we can come to the shocking conclusion that - gasps - even the conservatives have their own ‘elites’.
If you want to know Romney’s policies on foreign affairs here it is:

drastically different from obama vision:

I am sure that Thompson will get to laying out something similar too in due course.
And I am sure his CFR membership will have little or nothing to do with his agenda.
“You are right, anyone can subscribe (I have a subscription), however, only members can submit articles to Foreign Affairs. That is the point of the magazine, a place for members to have their papers published.”
Whoop-de-doo. There is a word for that - vanity press. So Mitt had to sign up for CFR to get his article published. No record of him going to any meetings, let alone coming out saying ‘that was quite a brainwashing’.
Someone should have told him FR posting privileges are cheaper. LOL.
That being said, I tend to agree with the standard that someone who has an 80% or higher ACU rating is a reliable conservative.
Of course a rating from just one conservative organization won't be accurate enough to reflect a career record. I go to projectvotesmart.com and look at their lifetime ratings from over a dozen groups, single-issue and across-the-board advocacy groups.
You can get a politician's lifetime ratings from ACU, Eagle Forum, Concerned Women for America, National Journal, Right-to-Life, GOA, NRA, Chamber of Commerce, you name it.
You can go there right now and discover that "true conservative" Fred Thompson's ratings are not much different than "RINO traitor" Lindsey Graham...except Graham is slightly to the right of Fred.
Seems she was blind to Mitt’s membership as well.
As far as being a member, no problem from us, it is a good thing.
Just pointing out Saundra’s ignorance and newfound hypocrisy...
Same could be said for Fred then, he just signed up for the club sandwiches or whatever...
I don't care.
That being said, I tend to agree with the standard that someone who has an 80% or higher ACU rating is a reliable conservative.
Then what the hell have you been whinging about all night? Sheesh.
Ok, time to go to sleep now...
Yes, Whoop-de-doo. That's the point.
Now tell that to Saundra.
