Wow, you are a sharp one!
Ron Paul is one of the nobodies participating in this debate.
From what I can tell, everyone at the "ValueVoters" debate is "Third Tier."
I think second tier now is McCain and Romney.

PAUL PING
The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty. My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle.
In 40 years of medical practice, I never once considered performing an abortion, nor did I ever find abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman.
In Congress, I have authored legislation that seeks to define life as beginning at conception, HR 1094.
I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn.
Many talk about being pro-life. I have taken direct action to restore protection for the unborn. As an OB/GYN doctor, Ive delivered over 4,000 babies. That experience has made me an unshakable foe of abortion. Many of you may have read my book, Challenge To Liberty, which champions the idea that there cannot be liberty in a society unless the rights of all innocents are protected. Much can be understood about the civility of a society in observing its regard for the dignity of human life.

John McCain is doing pretty well on his “No Surrender” Tour.
He was touring the country in support of victory while Ron Paul was in San Francisco on 9/11 raising money from ‘truthers’ and calling for retreat.
And McCain is on the road today in support of winning in Iraq while Ron Paul is attending this so-called “valueVoters” debate.
Sorta puts the whole thing in perspective.

Straw polls are about all Hunter supporters have left to cling to, aren’t they?
And yet from what I remember, Hunter came in dead last in the only straw poll anyone has paid any attention to so far.
Straw polls teach us something about the Law of Small Numbers, don’t you think?
On the other hand, the latest Rasmussen has McCain in 3rd ahead of “straw poll favorite” Romney.

Pretty much every one of the "first tier candidates", in both major political parties, are empty suits: Giuliani, Romney, Thomson, Clinton, Edwards and especially Obama. They all have focus groups and scripted speeches.

If Paul were around today, he wouldn’t cross the Potomac... he and his Troofer allies would double-cross it.
I have the feeling that 75% of the viewers of this debate are the posters on this thread, minus me.
I like Tanc and Hunter, but realistically neither has a shot.
As for the rest - all the Paul fans I’ve met in person have been total truther type kookballs with a handfull of goldbugs mixed in, and I’ve never met a supporter for the others.
