CNBC/MSNBC/Wall Street Journal Debate.........

The debate format, as well as its moderator, will be determined after further discussions with representatives from the respective campaigns.

Looks like the top tier is bypassing the September 27, 2007 PBS sponsored debate in Baltimore Maryland.

“This debate will focus on issues that are at the heart of every Presidential election, namely the economy, taxes, fiscal discipline and government regulation,” said Mark Hoffman, CNBC President. “This will mark the first time in the 2008 presidential campaign that all declared Republican candidates will be asked to provide voters with specific plans for the American economy and American workers in an increasingly global marketplace.”

A debate sponsored by, and moderated by the Kennedy wing of the Republican party.

The two-hour debate is scheduled to be held on October 9 in Dearborn, Mich. and will be broadcast live on CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, at 4 PM ET and re-broadcast on MSNBC at 9 PM ET that evening.

A Tuesday afternoon debate?

Rebroadcast on PMSNBC against Hannity and Colmes?

That format pretty much guarantees that nobody will see it!

Hey, a debate in our most heavily Muslim city. I guess they’ll have a lot of questions about the rights of Palestinians, our policy in Iraq, our intentions towards Iran, etc. Liberal questioners will ask them the most entrapping and potentially damaging questions possible.

Look for the media to note how horrible Hunter, Thompson and Tancredo do, and why Rudy and Romney will be the GOP selections, regardless of what the voters think.

A debate sponsored by, and moderated by the Kennedy wing of the Republican party.

Watch, and it will make no sense.

Tancredo will be portrayed as a nut, Thompson will be portrayed as right wing phony, and Duncan Hunter will be made to look like a kook, while Romney will be portrayed as a slick car salesman (okay, they will get that one right, but its not objective), and anyone who is not liberal (aka anyone but Rudy) will be made to look bad.

This "debate" is a joke, the GOP should ask for a real moderator, and a real debate, this is a sham that will just make conservative ideals and beliefs look bad, and use the candidates to do it by taking statements and words out of context.

What about the Sept 27 PBS debate at Morgan State (Baltimore)? I just got tickets for that one thinking Fred was in it.

Anybody have definitive info that Fred will not go to Baltimore?

Yes, it’s the media that decides who will be crowned the leaders.

They know who will fail to get the consevative voters motivated and that is why we onl hear only about them against the left! That is a sure method of keeping the right at home on the day of election!

“The debate is a joke”

I couldn’t agree more. I am sure it will be embarrassing for all.

WOW....who’d have thought that Fred would waste his time participating in such a “worthless” “dog and pony” show with the “also-rans” and “wannabes” when these debates are nothing but “40 second sound bites” that mean “zilch”.
