Am I missing something or was this just supposed to be a feel good measure that didn’t do anything? “Senate Condemns MoveOn.org”, great, but who cares? What does that have to do with governing?

It sure would be nice if they spent this much time on stuff that matters rather than trying to look good in front of the base (goes for both sides).

As disgusting and sickening as this is, are any of us here actually surprised?

The Democratic party no longer even pays lip service to the notion that is does this out of “idealism”, misguided or otherwise.

Looks like could be more Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) members hate the military of the United States of America than Carter has lily-liver pills.

So comforting to see my senator hasn’t changed her color: yellow.

25, 24 DemonRats plus "independent" Sanders. 3 DemonRats did not vote, at least 2 of those probably would have voted against the resolution, and thus against the General.

still 24 of 46 is more than half of the "Rats" voting. Even if you give them Independent Democrat Lieberman, it's still more than half of the 'Rats voting, give them Sanders, who caucuses with them as does Lieberman else they'd not be the majority, and it's 25 of 47, still more than half, of the voting Democrats who voted to further "dis" General Petraeus

Zero Republicans out of 49 voted to kick the Armed Forces of the United States in the a$$. They truly do "loath the military", almost as much ss they loathe GW Bush.

lmost half of the Democratic caucus would rather participate in a smear campaign against the commander than stand up to MoveOn.

Well, most of 'em agree with MoveOn, even those who didn't vote with them. But you know MoveOn has 'em by the short and curlies, in this case by the campaign war chest.

Sad to say, the same people in Michigan who are moaning about the loss of jobs, tax increases, the tragic </sarcasm> losses of UM football this year, the exodus of business and productive people, vacant unsellable homes, etc. will be sure to reelect the two trash senators Karl Lenin and (She’s hardly Li’l) Debbie Stabemall.

Is this one of those "I was for Paetraus before I was against him" moments?

How much was a full page ad in the NYT?

No Kucinich.

Hmmm, I’m almost developing what may amount to some kind of respect for that elf. Pinch me.

First, he overplays his hand by marrying the lovely British giantess. Then he becomes the only Dem candidate to declare that he will debate on Fox.

He’s a moonbat maverick!

The GOP should make a common commercial and substitute the different names of these 25 traitors in their home states (and nationally for the Beast and Dodd).

Hang this disgrace arond their necks and make them wear it wherever they go.

In the Beast's case, it will help her with the moonbats, but it will sink her with moderates, and she needs moderates more than they need her.

Even the old bigoted bastard from West Virginia? I would not have guessed that. byrd is a scumbag, that is true, but he has this continuing delusion that he is a great man. I would not have thought that the old klansman would have done this. It shows how low the rat party has sunk.

Good old drive-by media never mentions that MoveOn.org was founded to defend Bill Clinton.

But that would be the responsible thing to do.

These 25 senators represent millions of Americans who hate the US, our traditions and our troops.

Unless these voters who voted these scumsuckers into office rise up and demand these senators resignation, I can correctly call these voters “traitors.” And that includes my neighbors who voted the America-hating commie Stabenow into office.

I think this was a silly and pointless vote. It isn’t the role of the Senate to pass resolutions about ads that offend them. We have bigger issues at stake. This is pandering pure and simple.

It's true that the ad was offensive, but politically it was extremely stupid. We see less of the MSM's preaching about how Iraq is hopeless, because this puts Dems on the defensive. Moveon.org gave Republicans a sword to bash Dems with:

Not surprising to see “Socialist Sherrod” Brown on that list.
