U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton said Sunday she can appeal to Republicans as well as Democrats on the presidential trail. Clinton appeared on "Fox News Sunday." Host Chris Wallace, citing his acerbic interview with former President Clinton last year as well as the former first lady's comments this year, asked, "Why do you and the president have such a hyper-partisan view of politics? Why do we want another president who thinks so much in terms of right versus left and red state versus blue state?"
After attempting to turn the questioning to declining family income and the loss of healthcare, Clinton said, "Oh, Chris, if you had walked even a day in our shoes over the last 15 years, I'm sure you'd understand. But you know, the real goal for our country right now is to get beyond partisanship. And, I'm sure trying to do my part. Because we've got a lot of serious problems that we're trying to deal with."
Clinton said she won re-election in New York "with nearly 67 percent of the vote, carrying a lot of the same counties that (President) George Bush had carried just two years before. I've been able to get a lot of Republican and independent support in this campaign."
Willing suspension of disbelief...............
Hey Hillary...a NY Republican and a Texas Republican are two completely different animals.
Stinkbait for catching bottom dwellers.
She can SAY whatever she likes but reality is, she doesn’t appeal to me or any other GOPer I know .... and I know quite a few.
I suspect those districts in NY which she claims she carried were ones where Republicans just stayed home.
Clinton running for president is appealing to Republican voters. Just not in the way she thinks it is.
She obviously can afford the really good drugs.

She could put a gun to my head and I still would not vote for her.
She can appeal all she wants - she won’t get my vote!
I’m guessing she has Gov. Arnold’s vote.
Would ANY republican vote for a socialist?...She’s a laugh and a half!
appeal=lie like a cheap rug.
Obviously her staffers have not informed her that she is considered by many GOP’s as one of the most vile pieces of human excrement in American history.
Well, if she wore a bright red bullseye, fake antlers and ran around in the woods during November, I’m sure she could attract some republicans.
Then may I suggest she start using them....
Her husband didn’t appeal to GOP voters ... and he was far more reasonable, far more likeable, and far more conservative than she is.
Good luck with that across-the-aisle appeal, Mrs. Clinton.
If I were her, I’d be far more afraid of Fred Thompson or Rudy Giuliani appealing to moderates and conservative Democrats.

of course she can. Lincoln Chafee, Michael Bloomberg, the list goes on and on. Oh, wait, that’s about it.
