LAS VEGAS - Authorities trying to aid two girls seen in a sexually explicit videotape say they have identified one and were showing images of the other Thursday in the hopes that someone would recognize her.
The tape was turned in to police by a man who said he found it in the desert. It shows a man performing sex acts on a girl around 4 or 5 years old, and shows a girl believed to be 10 to 12 years old appearing in "some kind of peep show," said Nye County sheriff's detective David Boruchowitz.
Authorities hope identifying the girls will help them locate the abuser and rescue them. Still photos of the younger girl, fully clothed, appeared Thursday morning on CBS's "The Early Show," where Boruchowitz announced that the older girl had been identified.
He said the photos of the younger girl were being released because her life could be in danger.
"She could still be in this situation and (be) abused currently as we speak," Boruchowitz told "The Early Show."
"The easiest way to explain it is if you can imagine the absolute worst things that can happen to a little girl at the hands of an adult male, that has happened and beyond," he said of the video. "It is by far the most heinous and horrible thing that you can possibly imagine on there."

Wouldn’t the child’s family report her missing?
The only thing his face is missing is some bullet holes. Who are these monsters????

their mouths seem similar, like it could be her father.
The story I saw on the news last night said they think there's some relationship, based on the interaction.

Of course it's been taken....she's never known trust or safety, there's no one to go to for comfort or protection. This man hasn't just stolen her physical innocence, but the part of her that makes her most human. Her world will forever be twisted and dark.
If it’s an ongoing thing then it is most likely either the father or stepfather. It’s also possible that he’s a “friend” or relative of the parents and/or the parents are complicit. Cases of sexual abuse by complete strangers are extremely rare.
This is what comes from a “if it feels good do it” society.
God Bless her soul and may she be found quickly

I’m surprised the guy who turned the tape in wasn’t arrested.
BTW, It seems that most of time I get an Amber alert on the web or on my local TV station, it turns out not to be a stranger who took the child, but a Mother or Father involved in a custody case. What a sad life it must be for the children. I thank God that my parents did not put me through that kind of hell!
I don’t think it’s the fault of the ‘if it feels good society’.
This behavior has been happening for centuries...if anything, in this day and age, it’s brought to light as a crime, instead of being hidden as a family’s shame.
Yep. Usually it's a person (or persons) with easiest access to the child.
Boruchowitz said investigators don’t think Tuck made the tape. Tuck was arrested Sept. 19 on charges of promoting child pornography and possession of child pornography, felonies. The top charge carries a possible sentence of up to life in prison.
Tuck was released without bail, pending arraignment Nov. 26 in Pahrump Justice Court, a court official said.
“Right now, my understanding is he’s cooperating with the district attorney’s office,” Boruchowitz said on The Early Show. “At the time of the investigation, he chose not to talk with us any further once he gave us his initial story.”

The abuse of children may have been going on, but the videotaping of the act to have a momento and show friends is a whole new thing.
What you forget is that men used to be ashamed. Now since we are told that “if it feels good, do it.” the shame factor is off the table.
Many things in society used to be shameful. Not now.
My mistake. He WAS arrested, of course.
Understandably. Several thoughts help me. The first one is that, since God either wills or allows everything, and since He is absolutely good and almighty by nature, then these evils must be allowed by God for the accomplishment of a greater good. As Job correctly noted, who are we to question God? It is times like these when trust is put to the test. Secondly, without the existence of evil, the world would never know virtues like charity, mercy, forgiveness, and courage. Thirdly, and most importantly, there is the Cross. If God is willing to lower himself to human status, and then to suffer an agonizing death, how can we criticize God for indifference to human suffering?
This link may also help. It is the best and most concise treatment of the problem of evil that I've read.
