Boycott of Miller Beer Launched Because of Sponsorship of Sadomasochistic, Anti-Christian Gay Parade

WASHINGTON, DC, September 27, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Catholic League president Bill Donohue announced a national boycott of Miller Beer on this morning's "Fox and Friends." The boycott comes after leading Christian groups were outraged at Miller's sponsorship of a sadomasochistic, anti-Christian homosexual parade which regularly includes full nudity and public sex acts.

"Never have we experienced greater corporate arrogance than in this dispute with the Miller Brewing Company. Miller is sponsoring an incredibly outrageous and palpably anti-Christian event in San Francisco: the Folsom Street Fair," explained Donohue.

"This all started when we learned that Miller was sponsoring an event that featured an obscene ad thrashing the Last Supper. After being pressured, Miller offered a lame statement of regret and said it was pulling its logo from the ad. Not only has it not done so-it is still posted on the website of the street fair-Miller refuses to withdraw its sponsorship. To top it off, when we informed them that some of the money being raised at this festival was being funnelled to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, they were unimpressed.

"Accordingly, Miller leaves us with no options: we are calling on more than 200 Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and Hindu organizations to join with us in a nationwide boycott of Miller beer. We feel confident that once our religious allies kick in, and once the public sees the photos of an event Miller is proudly supporting, the Milwaukee brewery will come to its senses and pull its sponsorship altogether. If it doesn't, the only winners will be Anheuser Busch and Coors."

Does Miller own any other brands? Haven’t had a Miller in decades, if ever...

I posted a thread about the Folsom Street Fair advertisement and Miller's sponsorship of the fair last week and it was deleted.

I hope the mods decide to keep this one up.

I am happy to permanently abstain from the consumption of Miller beer. I haven’t shopped at K-Mart since the supported Rosie O’Donnell’s perverted attack on the 2nd Amendment and Christianity. I haven’t purchased Levis in over 20 years ever since I learned they support Planned Parenthood, sodomy and just about every other decadent behavior the perverts of this country can conjure up. Way I see it Miller Beer is now no different.

From Miller's more recent press release:

It is important to understand that the Folsom Street Fair does not target the general public in its communications. The fair itself and the organization’s website are only intended for the adult alternative lifestyle community.

I sent the an email asking why its important for me to know that and whether they would feel that backing a racist activity would be OK if it were specifically targeted to avoid the targeted people. Can't wait to hear back.

I’d be happy to boycott it if I ever drank it. I prefer the local microbrews.

Am wondering what politcal candidates Donohue supports and those of the many Catholics who take issue - as they should, of course with the amorality and specific religious hate that is demonstrated by the 'celebratory' parade enthusiasts.

Seems more than a few Catholics are Democrats. . .realize the 'history'; but way past time to wake up these issues. How can they support candidates who are 'pro-choice'. ..abortion rights; including 'partial birth abortions'; and organizations such as Planned Parenthood.

How about 'stem-cell' research. ..and host of other issues that now are hallmarks of political positioning? Will these Catholics 'go there'.

Or are their moral limits suffciently tested, by protesting what is yet another excuse for the Left to celebrate their own moral degradation; while asking those who watch, to join them.

I boycotted Miller years ago. The Miller Brewing Co. is a despicable rotten anti-American anti-family corporation. They should all go to hell.

Islam are hardly "religious allies". Some of these so called "Christian" groups really need to wake up. They've been saying a lot of stupid things lately, supporting earth worship, evolution, communism, illegal alien invasion, etc.

I thought Moslems didn't drink.

This is a shame. I always liked Miller Light. Guess I'll have to move my preferences. A few years ago I stopped buying Sam Adams because the clown that ran that company did some equally galling things utterly lacking in decency and common sense. I don't know if he is still in charge at Sam Adams, but I haven't purchased a drop since then. I guess Miller can join that club.

Altria Group (the old Phillip Morris) owns 28.6% of SAB Miller. In addition, Altria Group has a 28.6% economic and voting interest in SABMiller, plc., the world's second-largest brewer. Direct statement from Altria website.

Actually, Miller Brewing Company is just a minute sliver of the varied holdings (not confined to brewing) of South Africa Brewing, a mega-giant conglomerate based in Johannesburg and London with tentacles reaching throughout the world.

I have a picture of the wealthy Euro-atheists controlling SAB giving two hoots in hell about a boycott of the Miller brand in the USA.

Figuratively speaking, what they will lose here and there in supermarkets, saloons and gas stations is about what they tip every day drinking fine wines and scotch in their favorite European and African fleshpots.

There is no way that Miller Brewing Company can claim that it did not understand what this display was likely to be. No doubt, they will claim that Miller Brewing was only seeking to provide funding assistance to local urban groups but the least little bit of research would have revealed the depravity of this crew.

Sorta makes you think about Her Thighness and the Norman Hsu debacle - a tiny bit of research.

But, nooooooo, we were hoodwinked, both Hitlery and Weasel Beer.
