Oakland Airport Outrage (Marines not allowed in the terminal)

"On September 27, 204 Marines and soldiers who were returning from Iraq were not allowed into the passenger terminal at Oakland International Airport. Instead they had to deplane about 400 yards away from the terminal where the extra baggage trailers were located."
This was not a security measure. After going through super-tight security, checking for contraband, ammunition and explosives in Kuwait, the soldiers and Marines had been allowed in the terminal building in Germany and at JFK in New York. But on the far-left coast they were quarantined from civilians.

No Federal aid for Oakland and San Fran. This area should be boycotted by all God fearing American (and for more reasons then one). If I had a vacation planned there, I would cancel it.

I don’t think there’s any God fearing Americans left in Oakland, San Fransicko, or the Bay Area.
To: do the dhue
No, I changed my mind, I do have some words. Those **** wouldn't even let the Marines film in the streets. They refused to have a war ship as a museum, they vote to ban hand guns, they perform homosexual marriage, and now they refuse to let Marines in to the airport terminal! That city needs to be ejected from the Union! Remove it from California, cut their funding, sever their water supplies, and let the liberal filth in that city starve! I AM BEYOND FEDUP with San Fransicko!

I imagine that they were on a commercial flight. We should find out what airline and boycott them too.

I was recently in Philly and a young mother with a newborn Son was awaiting the arrival of her husband from Iraq.
The soldier had never held his Son and when he arrived and she handed him the child, the entire terminal erupted into applause

“Why didnt they land them at Travis AFB?”
The armed forces have been drawn down so far that they charter commercial flights and use commercial airports.
C5 transportation is largely to and from CONUS these days.

Commercial flts are far easier to book.
We always used commercial when I was in the military.
In fact, I was the travel coordinator

There is still some of us there.
I fly because of work and that airport is only a few miles from home so it is my primary airport. When I get home from this trip I plan to put as much carbon in the atmosphere as possible just to pi** off a commie liberal.

When ever I see troops in the airport I tank them. The most fun trip I've had in years was a great stay in Northern Michigan in late March, and the long trip in each direction with 4 stops each way.
The really cool part was that at each layover, at the bar or restaurant where I ate or had a smoke/beer, there was at least one serviceperson who got his drink/meal paid for, and will never know who, but will certainly know why...

When I left the Nam we were enroute to Travis. Fog prevented
the landing and we were diverted to SF Int’l at 0330hr.
They had to call in Customs Officers to process us. I was first in line at a search station. The officer finally showed up. The She/He (Dyke) was not happy and did a number on my main bag. When she started in on my AWOL bag ——
I had enough and asked her: “You like seaching men’s dirty
underwear do’ya?” OMG!! At that time a Customs Supervisor
was walking by. She/He (Dyke) gave me a Ma Duce look and said to the Super: “I need relief” and walked off.
The Super looked at me and I gave him the ‘I don’t know what happened’ look. He signed the slip and said: “Procede”
Not bad for a Welcome Home!!!!! Cleaned out a She/He (Dyke)
at SL Int’l!!!

Not entirely true.
Up here in Washington, McChord AFB has chartered commercial flights landing and taking off DAILY to avoid those “people” up at SEATAC.

I was deployed 3x while in the Marines, and each time we used a civilian contracted airline.
Once - landing in Honolulu - we sat on the aircraft parked away fromt the terminal. We did not disembark.
Another time, we sat in Alaska - and we got off the plane, but in a closed section of the airport.
I really don’t think the Marines thought anything of it.
Besides, if the Marines had gotten off - they would have been spit on by the progressive socialist liberal democrats who live in the city. If that had happened, no telling the response of the Marines.
So, basically -the way I see it - it was a measure of safety to protect the public in San Fransisco from angry Marines who would have reacted to being spit upon by progressive socialist liberal extreme left-wing moonbat democrats.
