The radical left activist group, Media Matters (funded by George Soros and others) has launched an all-out smear attack against Rush Limbaugh. And the liberal media are shamelessly promoting the assault.
Their goal? To force Rush off the air. Unless our MRC Action Team takes a stand right now, they could actually succeed.
Here is what is happening:
Media Matters is claiming that Rush called any soldier that opposes the war a "phony soldier." In fact, Rush was referencing an anti-war activist who falselyand despicably passed himself off as an Army Ranger and Purple Heart winner.
Rush was calling the phony soldier a "phony soldier"!
MSNBC willfully echoed the liberal attack campaign against Rush -- despite the obvious spin and deception by Media Matters. CBS's online "Public Eye" then joined in. And now, liberals in Congress are trying to get Rush removed from Clear Channel radio.

Dear Ms. Dollinger,
Recent news has it that Clear Channel Media is contemplating taking Rush Limbaugh off the air because of a bogus accusation trumped up by the leftwing organization Media Matters. Media do matter Ms. Dollinger, and that is why it would be unconscionable and no doubt economically foolish for Clear Channel to take Mr. Limbaugh’s excellent voice and message off the air.
I can sympathize with Democrat liberals who have found it difficult to get their message out via the airwaves, which is why they’re so intent on manufacturing grievances against the likes of Don Imus, Bill O’Reilly, and now Rush Limbaugh.
But Clear Channel should not bow to their impotence. If your channel really stands for free speech, it is important that you keep the debate going and keep Rush Limbaugh broadcasting for all the world to hear.

I’ve an idea we would do well to e-mail the link to Rush’s rebuttal to everyone on our e-mail lists. With the ABC program which addressed phony soldiers like MacBeth and Rush’s morning update which clearly showed MacBeth’s lies and deceit which the democrats have chosen to believe (fake but accurate anyone?), this smear campaign has no chance of succeeding. BUT the media will give their butties of the DNC cover so we need to expose the lies via person-to-person contacts! Should be good for a few million more informed than even listen to Rush’s show.
Rush is a big boy and Clear Channel is not dumb either.

It’s the Las Vegas unions and land-development interests who keep Dingy Harry in D.C. In the northern part of the state he’s as popular as the clap.
Alas, a whiff of RINO is starting to emanate from Sen. John Ensign, who reportedly has a “gentleman’s agreement” with Harry ensuring that they won’t tread on each other’s toes. As with most such arrangements when one of the parties is a leftist, the courtesy is strictly one-way and the contagion is insidious.
No one "wins" the Purple Heart. It is bestowed upon those who earn it.

Some of the “reporters” who’ve promulgated MMFA’s smears have public comment sections, and those can be used to help discredit them. If they associated MMFA with “untrustworthy”, that will reduce the chances they’ll repeat MMFA smears again.

I’ve got other things to do so it would be nice if I could get some help in this effort. Unfortunately, despite posting a few posts encouraging those here to leave comments on blogs I seem to be alone in this overall effort.
Y’know..... it’s not so much a defense of Rush (and I agree this will be no problem at all for him) as it is a demand for decency to return to Washington .... not to mention that these idiots are blowing OUR hard-earned dollars out the window spewing the daily bilge. (Isn’t that what the tabloids are for?)
If you had told me 20 years ago that our elected “leaders” in Washington would be spending all their time on such charades, I would have said you were nuts!

Everyone on my e-mail list has been informed. IMO this is the dumbest move the Dems have made. Moveon buying an ad in the NYTs is one thing. This is a move by the Senate leader for a resolution with a lot of support. They can’t lay this stupidity off on their kook base. I am also guessing, if it could be measured, that Rush’s audience tomorrow will be record breaking.
