Bottom Line: Rush needs to come out and admit that this was a poor choice of words, apologize and move on.

He doesn’t have to grovel and apologize a gazillion times like George Allen did over the “Macaca incident”. Admit it was a mistake and move on.

Dear Fellow Freepers:

We have before us one of the most challenging times in our nation's history. The battle has already begun. And it is as much about the enemy of Marxism on our shores as it was when it was a distant enemy. Many of us were hoping it would not begin for another year, saving our energy as we have. But the first volleys have been fired, and we must now enter the breach.

All this, and while our nation is at war.

There was no mistake. The discussion with the caller, plus additional discussion by Rush that touched on the matter, was quite clearly focused on the exact same news that'd been in an ABC report a couple of days earlier.

What we have here are a bunch of drunks and closet gays who've come up with some sort of lie they think everybody will buy.

Harry Reid and his merry band of little friends think they are invisible!

You really don't want to get caught defending the Democrats on this one.

it was NOT a “poor choice of words”, it was an excellent choice of words. RAT apologists are now hanging their smear on the “fact” that Rush said “phony soldiers” instead of “phoney soldier”. Tonight Colmes was reduced to saying “why didn’t Rush say that until one minute and fifty-three seconds later?” They have already been reduced to such contortions and pitpicking to keep their phoney smear going that they have already sidetracked themselves. Dennis Praeger made a total ass of colmes tonight simply by quoting his own words back to him. Colmes was left sputtering like a broken chainsaw.

Wrong; that is what IMUS did, and look where he is. Rush has done more for our troops than any of the democrats now chastising him. These people are sick beyond words and Rush should NOT apologize for this.

You don't get out much, do you.

Let me guess- you heard about this on tv, right?

Get current on this. Until you do you should refrain from comment.

You are poorly informed.

It wasn’t a poor choice of words, in fact, it wasn’t even Rush’s words, Rush should not in any way shape or form apologize, and of course being the stand-up guy that he is, he won’t.

Then what would you call people that lie about being in the service and/or serving in combat? There is no better term than “phony soldiers”. These “phony soldiers” have been popping up all over the place. They are disgrace.

I think it was a poor choice of words only if interpreted in isolation. In the context of the conversation he was having with the caller, it was fine. When I heard it, I knew instantly who he was talking about; those few whacko "soldiers" who have told (or sold) phony, extremely damaging, stories about atrocities committed to a MSM press corps only too glad to run with any story that makes our Armed Forces look bad. There have been several of these; McBeth is not the first, and I'm sure he won't be the last.

John Kerry was the first in my lifetime. I think Murtha qualifies too.

Then there's always Hasan Akbar, the piece of excrement who attacked his commanders inside Camp Pennsylvania, in Kuwait, on March 23, 2003. Personally, I think he was a phony soldier too, although unlike McBeth he made it all the way through basic training.

BULL S4!T. I heard the original comments, live and on the air. He said “soldier” the first time. Later the plural use is NOT all inclusive, it merely implies multiple incidences of these liars. And there have been multiple incidences.

The dems are running fast and loose with the truth. And the LIES are winning.

For now. Everyone should email Harkins and Reid and tell them what they are. LIARS and DAMNED LIARS.

A poor choice of words? Do you call this groveling?

Rush: Folks, I am more energized and focused on the task of advancing liberty and victory than ever before. I am more energized and focused on the task of defeating Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton than ever before. I will not rest. I'm not going to stop until they are exposed, until they are pushed back and defeated. They must not control our government; they must not be put in charge of our military; they must not gain the power they crave to shut down talk radio and free speech wherever they don't like it. They must not control anything in which our future is at stake. Let me add another point about all this. It has not gone unnoticed here that only a handful of Republicans and conservatives have dared to speak up about what has been taking place here. I see it. Most of them think I can handle these things on my own and so forth, but there's a fear out there. The fear and the weakness that permeates the Republican Party, and even parts of the conservative movement is also on display now, as it has been for too long.

WRONG! It wasn't a poor choice of words, he does NOT need to apologize, and he needs to hang in there! Why give any ground to those jerks? That is what the RINOs have done...and Rush is no RINO!

He doesn’t have to grovel and apologize a gazillion times like George Allen did over the “Macaca incident”. Admit it was a mistake and move on.

But it wasn't a mistake. I heard it in real time. It was truthful.

The Dims did a cut and paste job on his remarks. Notice they didn't play the whole conversation thereby giving the context.

Rush should demand an immediate apology from Reid and Harkin.

They're lying scum.

Rush said nothing wrong. No need for him to apologize.

Harry Reid and the misfits are the ones who should be apologizing for their antics.

Absolutely NOT! Rush did NOT choose his words poorly. The Democrats in charge of Congress, however, did choose their BATTLE poorly when they decided to take on Rush. They are going down, and their little dog with them!!!

yeah, he could do that, if he had made a mistake and used a poor choice of words.

Bottom Line: If you are not a soldier but claim to be one and claim to have served and then lie about the war you are a phony soldier.

Rush isn’t apologizing for the smears of the Left, so deal with it.

looking at your posts, you don’t seem to be a nutjob, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. I think you were just uninformed. Maybe you should just apologize for making such a silly statement.

As far as Rush’s comment goes, I think this needs to be amplified. The anti-war movement would like to distatnce themselves from Macbeth and any other phony soldiers like him. This is a golden opportunity to put these guys and the left’s tactics in the spotlight. I say we blow it up. Let’s not let the opportunity to show how dishonest Reid and his cohorts are pass us by. He potetially waded into deep waters with this. Let’s attach Macbeth to Reid, and let that anchor drag his ass to the bottom.
